    E303?

If all you want is good sound, go for it - just install it dot to dot. Depending on the mileage of your motor, I'd replace the springs...and no matter what, I'd check piston to value clearance. If later on you figure out you wanted more power, you'll regret the choice as it's not the best...

    331 Stroker HP Expectations

Amen. Preach it brother. Since you've tried to build a Frankenmeter, I'll submit to your experience. However, conceptually its still difficult to believe. Example - If I took an oxygen sensor out of the stock headers and put it in some JBA headers and then told you that the sensor was now...

    331 Stroker HP Expectations

EDIT: As I think about it, that's just an assumption. We'd need to see the OP's volumetric efficency, RPM at max power and the meter's flow sheet to make the call or whether or not the meter's maxed out.

    331 Stroker HP Expectations

Clueless? I am a mechanical engineer with a specailization in hybrid powertrain design, and I've worked for one of the big three. I have a printed copy of the GUFB strategy document that I keep on the back of the *****er and read for fun. I am hardly clueless about what a MAF is and does...

    331 Stroker HP Expectations

2000XP8, The quarterhorse is an emulator for the eec. You use it to tune your computer, which should have been obvious in the prior post. From your question, it is clear you know nothing about tuning the eec, how it works, why sampling tubes are good or bad, and why all "calibrated" MAFs...

    331 Stroker HP Expectations

Why, exactly, are C&L meters garbage? They use the same sensor as the stock Ford unit, which is the gold standard for tuning injector slopes, breakpoints, etc. The truth is that the OP should take the money for the PMAS and go buy a Quarterhorse so he can tune for his combo. Then if he...

    Turbo... 302 or 351

Will the Helion system work with a 351 in a fox? It seems like the piping would be different. Good luck...

cam choices for stock gt40p head

Before you buy an odd the shelf cam, make sure its SD compatible or plan on changing to MAF. And make sure its compatible with your 86 flat too pistons. OR leave the stock cam, advance it 4 degrees and get some 1.7 RRs and go to town after checking the PV clearance. Tmoss has an SD setup...

'66 with EFI conversion miss/stumble problem

What exactly does the miss/stumble feel like? A true misfire is a shocking lack of power - if you think about it, at least 1/8 of your power is gone if you're misfiring on one cylinder. That is extremely noticable and hard to miss diagnose. As you can see from my signature, I've got a EFI...

    Top end noise

+1 on the header gasket leak. They can be surprisingly loud and surprisingly hard to locate. If you've got a manual car, turn the car off while rolling down the road in gear. If the noise goes away, it's a header gasket leak - if not, you've got other problems. Good luck....

    On3performance turbo!

Moates Quartrehorse, binary editor and EEC analyzer software and a wide band.... So you can tune that beast yourself.

    Rustoleum Roll on paint

Car Craft or Hot Rod did an article on it several years back. Lotta work to be done wet sanding between coats, but very budget friendly.

    Moates QuarterHorse Computer chip

Got one and love it, but beware the learning curve. If you aren't willing to learn about how your EEC really works, I wouldn't buy it.

Tuning worth it on stock motor w/ bolt ons

Do you have any driveability issues? If no, then don't do it. You may be able to get a slight bump in power from leaning out your WOT fuel curve and from timing, but it won't be worth the money.

3 Point Belts w/o removing headliner - coupe

Correct. In a normal setup, the retractor is on the floor, the belt passes up to a ring bolted to the roof and then across your body. My setup does away with the roof ring and floor mount and simply moves the retractor to a point higher than your shoulder....the package board. I used...

    gt40 heads

Let me tell you about my "budget" gt40 heads... 250 to buy them 200 to mill, valve job, valve guides, and replace some bent valves 100 for new springs 75 for gaskets First time out bend two valves in each head because i ran at the minimum safe PV clearance you hear everyone quote...

3 Point Belts w/o removing headliner - coupe

I did it just a few months back. Welded in a .25 inch piece of steel plate to the bottom of the package tray and bolted the seat belt retractor to it. Used all grade 8 fasteners. The belt goes from the retractor over my shoulded across my body to the buckle end and then across my lap to...

Poor Brake Pressure after front disc install

I don't think that a blob of silicone is a safe recommendation for positive retention on the brake pushrod. If that rod comes out for whatever reason, you've got zero brakes. Just my two cents.
