    What headers - GT40 heads?

I have the big exhaust valves, not the small ones. Who knows maybe ive got some odd heads? When I can post some pics you guys will be able to see what I'm working with. I do appreciate all the help in identifing the heads, but back to the original question.... Anyone with first hand...

    What headers - GT40 heads?

I might be inclinded to agree with you if it wasn't for the stuff not captured in that thread - i.e. the three bars on the front of the heads, the "GT" casting, and the wierd off-sized plugs the head takes. They are GT-40s...

    What headers - GT40 heads?

Thanks for the great reply - now we are getting somewhere. Ill check and see if those hedmans will work on my car. They are GT40s with the 3 bars and all. My camera cord is missing and I'm headed to Vegas for the weekend so it may be a bit befor I can get the picks up. If you care...

    What headers - GT40 heads?

100% sure. They have the three vertical bars and say GT40 in the valley. I can assure you that they are not a direct swap. Have you had a set in your early Mustang that you've swapped directly? The reason I ask is not to be a a**, but b/c I'd like to talk to someone that has done what I'm...

HO cam into non HO 302 motor

Just be aware that I put on ported e7 heads and FRPP headers at the same time so your results may vary. But the mass air certainly will help. Good luck.... Posted via Mobile Device

    What headers - GT40 heads?

3, they are 40s not 40p's. And no they don't have the same angle. If they did the tri-Ys that fit perfect on my e7's would fit perfect on these too. They don't, as mentioned above they required a lot of work to get them to fit at all. Do you have GT40s on your car, if so, what headers do...

HO cam into non HO 302 motor

No I didn't add dual exhaust or change the muffler. It is very quiet and sounds just like a stock truck. Posted via Mobile Device

HO cam into non HO 302 motor

Just to update this thread, I put the ported e7's and the stock Mustang cam in the truck and it was definitely worth it - given that the cost was nothing. The cam really moves the powerband up in the rpm range and while it does give up some low end power; the truck probably has 1000-1500 more...

    What headers - GT40 heads?

Reviving my own dead post. Last time around I cheaped out and put some new spark plug wires on the car and they lasted about 9 months. I'm not going the cheap route again. Looking for a set of headers for gt-40 heads on a 64.5-66 mustang. Anyone else besides CraigMBA? Which headers...

Aluminum Master Cylinder - Manual Disks?

No worries I,m all set with a vast iron boat anchor of a MC. You may need a residual pressure valve in the rear circuit to keep enough fluid back there to get those rear discs to work. What pedal are you using? Posted via Mobile Device

Aluminum Master Cylinder - Manual Disks?

Just for the record, I found data that a MC from a 1993 Dodge Spirit would work- it doesn't work. Just going with the old heavy 74 Maverick. Posted via Mobile Device

Aluminum Master Cylinder - Manual Disks?

I've got Scarebird disk brakes on my 66 with drums out back. I need to move to a new master cylinder as my current one is a dual for a 1967 with drums all around. I know that the 74 Maverick is what is recommended, but I'd like to move away from the heavy cast iron MC and to a modern...

Installing U-Joints in an Al Driveshaft

Anyone installed a u-joint in an aluminum driveshaft? I've done a million in steel shafts, but I just got an aluminum one and i'm a little gun shy. The instructions say to use an oxy/act torch to heat up the yokes to allow you to slide the bearing cups in. I tried that, but knowing just how...
