Official "What you got for Christmas" thread

don't wanna spend 1600 on bogarts?

make sure you check how many threads are actually engaging on the front with the stock studs and lugs. I did the same wheel and spacer over the summer and only had 3/8" of threads engaged in the lugnuts. I ended up changing out the studs. I am also going to do the rears in the spring, so...

    Dedicated Drag wheels/tires

I went with Jegs sportstars up front. 15" x 4" they are $89 each. You will need a 3/8" spacer and loner studs to run this set up. They are a nice looking wheel. I just couldn't see spending the money for the bogarts.

Short belt to bypass power steering

I tried this theory back in April on the dyno and got 4.5 hp out of the short belt on back to back runs on the dyno. It was a solid 4.5 through the whole curve. I always run the 88.5" belt at the track. Now, with the skinnies up front you hardly know it doesn't have power steering.

can i tune my car from my laptop

I would suggest getting a good tuner such as Doug at Bamachips and get a tune from him. Then use your laptop to datalog some runs. Email him the datalogs and let him fine tune your set up. I just did this and it worked out great for me.
