    Cant be too safe...

I recently moved my battery to the trunk... just for the meanwhile i mounted it to the drivers side, where for drag it should go on the passenger side. However I got one of these bad boys, and its going right where the spare tire WAS to keep things balanced... woo! and while i...

    65mm Throttle Body

I have one on mine... you need to get the 94/95 style throttle bodies for the BEST fit. It will place the IAB solenoid on the side, rather than on top. Next you have to get the upper intake manifold cut open to 65mm... (already had mine gutted, no problem)... the hard part is you have to weld...

    under powered alternator?

Get a 3G alternator. I put one on not too long ago and WOW. You will have to modify your power steering bracket. Basically take a grinder and grind away at it so that the alternator fits... make sure you dont grind away the hole where the peg from the tensioner pulley sits... that would be...

    Low End Question

you HAVE to be kidding me... look under ANY 5.0 car thats pulling the wheels off the ground, and what do you see? LONGTUBES. because they launch at high rpm... so they see higher benefits at high rpms due to the long primaries which carry the exhaust pulse further to the collector... at any...

    IAT Sensor ??

    '93 Cobra GFX

well... I currently have a GT bumper on mine. have a 90 lx 2.3n/z and looking to swap to 5.0

if you are swapping to a 5.0 you will need to change: rear end brakes suspension radiator inside you will have to swap out the gauge cluster (2.3 is 6k tach, 5.0 is 7k), computer, etc etc... all the hoses, wiring, vacuum lines, fuel pump and a full exhaust setup as well. are you SURE...

    Big Problems SVO blew up

i agree... you should be able to run the turbo for a minute without any serious harm. especially since after you heard it, you let off and werent in boost anymore. I'd be more worried about blowing oil all over everywhere. invest in some gunk. heh. and have the hoodliner sprayed as well...

Turboford is down, guess I'll ask here.... Erratic Tach, and miss at idle

the tach gets the signal from the PIP sensor located inside of the distributor... which runs thru the ignition module on the side of the distributor... so your problem lies somewhere in those 2 items...

    Low End Question

long tube headers rob low end torque because the exhaust pulses are very long... short headers keep low end torque but dont gain as much high end hp as a long tube... you could put a ranger header on there with 2" or 2 1/4" piping to the muffler(s)... I currently have a longtube header to 2 1/2"...

    Mechanical temp guage

leave the stock one hooked up. how else is the computer going to know when the motor warms up? it'll get stuck in "warm up loop" with a high RPM idle... You can get a T fitting onto the heater core feed hose and do it that way...

I've done the swap. I have an 89 2.3 and I swapped in a 93 gauge cluster from a 5.0... and no the tach does not display properly... and for that matter it isnt even correct if it DID work. Factory tach's are worthless. I currently have a 5" autometer phantom tach with shift light on my...
