    Not real important at this point, but yes -- the 88 CA cars had different connectors than the 89+ Mass Air cars.

    I've had them with 5.5" and 6.5" BS, and the 6.5" definitely fits better, I think it's about as tight a fit as you can go. It does require some hammering on the inside of the fenderwells and you'll probably want to roll your fenderlips as well. No way around that with a big tire.

    Go get a Craftsman T-50 bit though, not just a cheap one. The cheap ones will eventually lead to stripped bolts or stirpped bits -- if you're lucky it will only be the bit. Seatbelt bolts are not easy to get out if stripped.

    I disagree with needing a pump with these new cats, but that's been done in many other threads. At the very least, take off the pump completely or connect it up just so you don't have that pressure building up against that cap there.

    Oops. :p If you need more leverage, either get a pipe just bigger than the wrench and slip it over the handle, or get a bigger wrench and slips the box end over the handle and work it so you can use it for extra leverage. The pipe would work better, but not everone has one laying around...

    The area in front of the radiator would be the coolest place -- I think that's why it's the most common spot. :shrug: A place with good airflow is a must. If you get that by the driving light and want to put it there, by all means...it will only help. :nice:

    If the car is an original 5.0 it definitely would have the 140 in it. I would guess you're probably right and someone stuck the wrong face on it. I don't know what it takes to get them off, you might be better off looking for another cluster or speedo.

    Mine are bolted and welded in. Can't hurt, can it? Anyway, the lowers are easy. Doesn't take much effort to put them in, just a little time. The uppers were a PITA. Still not hard, just a paint ot get everything lined up right and setup. BTW, I would recommend two people when it comes...

    Then his next post would be "how do I touchup the paint around my cowl?" :p I never like using screwdrivers there. If they're not rusted up -- you can usually pull them off with just fingers. If they are -- carefully get them off and clean them up so you can use just your fingers. :nice:

    Just make sure your old brackets are in good shape -- the 4-cylinders use different mounting brackets.

    Thank you. I actually took the ferry one time before when I went to Port Orchard for a single day job, but that's the only time I've been there, and I wasn't sightseeing, so I didn't get to look around as much as I wanted. Looks like a really nice area. I think maybe I'll try and catch that...

    If this is really the case, than I am impressed and I will stand corrected. I just have never seen repeated numbers back-to-back ever, let alone on different days, etc.
