    4V4I

The only pix I have of my '84 are pretty old or really small (avatar)-I'll have to dig up a couple when I get off work. I need to get the Scamp fixed so I can roll the Mustang out and take a few up to date pix...

    Not a good day

Damn dude-sorry about that nonsense. Good luck getting it all buttoned up...just remember karma's a bitch. The seller will reap what he sews.

gt40 intake throttle body egr maf?

Depends on the year if memory serves-some of the first ones had EGR porting (96-97??) and after that, the exhaust was pulled from the #4 cylinder primary header tube I believe.

new engine gt 40 intake very stiff brakes vacuum seems low

There's no need to fill that EGR porting under the intake as long as it's blocked off by a gasket or your EGR delete plate...I don't know what kind of intake gaskets you used, but I bought ones in the past that blocked off the EGR ports so the heat wasn't running up into the intake. There's not...

    4V4I

Oh-the reference to small bits of cancer was about my Mustang-I have to patch the roof where it meets the hatch; no idea how that part was rusted through and nothing else was. The Scamp OTOH...yeah, it needs a bunch of bodywork. I have a quarter panel from a parts car coming in from...

    4V4I

Thanks! I hope it turns out well. Unless I find time and a body guy, it'll still be half-primered by the time the engine does finally go in, but I have to fix a couple issues with past body cancer (little ones, but still need a good fix). I agree wholeheartedly about the lack of bore spacing...

    PCV Vacuum line alternate location?

Should be fine...I had a Cobra intake on my last engine so I can't speak for the TFS offering...but it looks like a good candidate.

    New Build is Running. THANKS!

It'll take time with the idle...just keep using the search function, and be patient...you'll be rewarded by a fun to drive car.

    fan clutch or electric fan?

+1 for the Taurus or MK VIII fan+bigger alternator...I ran a 130A 3G in my '84 and had no issues with a Black Magic, but the factory fans pull every bit as much air, have two speeds (with relays), and are WIDELY available at local junk yards or www.car-part.com

new engine gt 40 intake very stiff brakes vacuum seems low

:rlaugh: <ahem> sorry... Have you checked your idle vacuum? Even with an E cam, it should be somewhere around 12-15 depending on timing. Timing may be retarded some, if it's too low, your idle vacuum will drop. Also, if you don't allow the engine to build vacuum in the booster, the brakes...

5.0 swap drive shaft too long

I performed a 5.0/t-5 swap into a 4/aod car several years ago...we just used a standard 5.0 (T5)driveshaft and everything lined up with no issues...at all. The driveshaft end yoke is the same amongst all models 79-93, and I'm pretty sure unless you swapped to a 31 spline tranny yoke, the front...

    4V4I

Well, maybe. I found a set of B cams from a seller on here for a good price. And I'm not saying anything about the guy because I don't know him, but I really hope he's not a liar like the guy who sold me the heads. If they come in as advertised, then I'll be able to finish up the long block...

    1987 GT Hatch 351w

400 flywheel in a 351 is relatively easy-a good set of heads as mentioned above, about 9.5:1 CR, a cam with about 235* @050" and some long tubes should net you 400 fwhp. If you want 500-moreover, 500 rwhp, that's another story. The heads would still help you out, but if you want to stay N/A...

    taking out a wiring harness

Locate the wires for ignition, starting, charging, and gage senders; modify them to fit your engine as needed. Beyond that, you won't really need anything else. I'm pretty sure we just ran new wires for the gages on a friend of mine's car several years ago. And since start/charge/ignition...

Would you consider just selling the B cams along with gears, spacers, etc from the '97 heads??

Just picked up a 1986 gt

True story-get an 85-86 bumper cover from LRS or Mustangs Unlimited or CJ...something like that. LRS also has at least some of the body mouldings. The only thing I'd tell you to look for would be some hatches were slightly off... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
