I have the AFR 165 58cc heads and love them...however, as others have said, if you plan on adding a power adder you're limited to nitrous or a very low boost turbo/supercharger application because of the compression you'll produce. I will say though that my setup loves the juice...the car go's...
I'm looking to get a brand new TKO600 transmission. Looking around I see there are (2) part numbers for this transmission. Basically they're the same with the exception of the final (5th) drive gear.
If there are any TKO600 users out there, what part number are you running and what's the...
400 RWHP easily...I highly doubt that. My combo with AFR 185's was only 15 RWHP more than the 165's I have now. I kept the 165's becuase I like the way the car felt more, probably due to the higher compression.
There's a dial on the top of the strut. It has a 1 - 4 setting that can be changed using a small screwdriver. Very easy.
The shocks are a little more challenging to get at but they also have a simple turn based dial with 8 settings. My car is lowered so I have to get a mirror to see where...
If you have an adequate fuel supply system (larger than stock injectors and fuel pump), go dry, it'll hit so much harder. Of course, I should also mention you need a good tune, check your plugs and watch your timing.
I've had my DSS ProBullet for almost 10,000 HARD miles and have had NO problems with it. I would defintely buy one again and recommend DSS. They seem to have a good product and they're very willing to talk to you and help put the best package together for your application.
I called CHP as...
This is what happened to my T-5 with Nitrous...and I'm also thinking about a TKO600 for next year.
Sheared off the output shaft with a 75HP shot, 2500 RPM launch...Ohhh ****...!
We pulled the tranny out tonight. The output shaft was broke, actually, it looked almost like it was laser cut. Snapped real good.
So, until I can save up for a tranny that'll handle 540 ft/lbs. at the wheels, I'm slapping a used 4 cylinder T-5 in there just to get around town...
Was out last night playing around when I nailed 1st gear hard, went to shift into 2nd and...BOOM...!
The car would no longer shift into gear. What do you think? Clutch, tranny, driveshaft? The engine runs and idles fine.
HELP..!
