TOTAL DRIVETRAIN SWAP FROM NEW STANG

I want to go EFI. No carb. The 351W was my original plan. I guess getting a wrecked donor mustang with an EFI 302 would be the best. Let's say a 94 - 95, that would also give me some front suspension (coil over strut conversion) and brake parts. I then could drop in the 351 and use the...

TOTAL DRIVETRAIN SWAP FROM NEW STANG

Yeah, I'm not looking for a wow factor here. I'm just trying to do the easiest and cheapest swap with modern technology. I thought about a 04 Mach I swap, but I needed more input from the ones who know, kind of a "look before you leap" factor. I've also considered a 351W efi from a 94 - 96...

TOTAL DRIVETRAIN SWAP FROM NEW STANG

OK. I now this has been asked before, so sorry guys if it seems to be a repeat question. I know Reenmachine has had plenty of experience so he might be the best source. But everyone's input is welcome. I'm contemplating buying a wrecked mustang and swapping in the entire drivetrain...

where to get wiring quick disconnects?

I plan on doing something similar on my 67 FB. I'm planning on putting a EFI 351W in the car and I want to put bulkhead connectors on the firewall so all I have to do is disconnect the engine harnesses right at the firewall. Something I learned while working on F-15 fighters. So if you know...

Anyone have or heard of B-Quiet insulation?

Sorry I don't want to jack your thread. Just getting the info out! :D I bought 100 sq feet of the FATMAT and haven't installed it yet, it's still in the box. I've decided to use the spray in ceramic based stuff from Lizard Skin. I heard about Lizard Skin from :SNSign: So anyone out there...

    Progress update....broken glass

I've got everything stripped out of my 67 FB too. Nothing left on it except the rear end and front suspension. The only functioning system on the car is the brakes! Sorry to hear about the glass :( I got my glass out with no problems. But I guess that's because all of my seals where...

    CHEAP STANG OR A CROOK

I didn't know Belfast Ireland was "down there"???? If this guy can afford shipping/handling and insurance. Why doesn't he just use that money to get out of the situation that he is in. Come on... shipping from "down there" and insurance must be a heck of alot more than what he is selling it...

    Water leaking in....

:D Don't drive it in the rain anymore. :D Seriously though, pour some water in the suspected area and see if your problem appears.

    5.4 in a 67 fastback

I thought about doing the same thing with my 67 FB. But I decided against it because the 5.4 is a wide and tall motor. And the 5.4 is infamous for blowing spark plugs out. A friend of mine with a 2001 lightning had one blow out just recently, which was neither fun or cheap to fix. Nice idea...

    second headlights behind the grille

Check your local laws. In some states you can't put lights like this behind the grill. :bs: I did it when I was in high school with my "totally rad ride" back in the late 80's :D I got pulled over and ticketed for it. So before you start, make sure the local fuzz won't have a problem...

    "Ford" Oil Cooler

I haven't seen it either. But could it be, the one you saw was made the same way 66forfun just told you to do? :D

    CHEAP STANG OR A CROOK

I think it was a 1967 or 1968 Fastback or Shelby with a 428 that was being sold for something aroung $5k. I saw it on ebay too, what a crock! :bs:

    THEY'RE STILL OUT THERE---GRANADA'S WITH 9" REARS

I just did a calibrated eyeball on the rears. It looks like the 9" is a little wider. But It's too close to call at this point. But all is well, like I said I just wanted the diff. and housing. I can have the axle tubes cut to narrow the rear. Which I was going to do anyway to get a little...

    THEY'RE STILL OUT THERE---GRANADA'S WITH 9" REARS

Well crap! I guess I'm going to go down to my garage and re-measure the housing. But I could have sworn it was the exact measurements as my 8". Either that or I have the wrong year cougar.

    THEY'RE STILL OUT THERE---GRANADA'S WITH 9" REARS

I believe it was either a 72 or 73 Cougar. I just wanted the housing and diff.carrier. I plan on going through the entire rear and replacing all the internals. Plus it is a straight bolt in if I want it to, the housing is the same length. And the spring perches are the same as my 8" under...

    THEY'RE STILL OUT THERE---GRANADA'S WITH 9" REARS

I look under all the Granada's I come across as well. But I haven't found a 9 under any of them. I finally found a 9 under a cougar that was sitting in a salvage yard here in Wichita Falls, TX. They pulled it and sold it to me for $150.00. It has drum brakes but no big deal, I plan on...

    floor pan replacement question

If you really want to do all the work yourself and using your shop reference to do all the measurements, that's cool. Or you could trailer it to a frame shop to have a pro put it on a jig OR do the measurements for you and straighten it at the same time if it needs it. That way you know that...

Hoping for a Christmas wiring miracle...

Really though, I would retrace your steps. Disconnect the lights you connected and if the problem persists, look for the obvious... ...loose wires or wires that are just hanging out in the open that you may have knocked or pulled out. You could get real deep real fast, so again look for the...
