CompCam Beehive springs? Are they worth the cash, or should I stay factory PI?

What is rpm range for that cam? That is really the determing factor. Sean Hyland thinks the stock behive springs are good to 6k, but I'd email or call VT and see what they recommend. I thought when Comp Cams first put out the springs, they had some breakage problems. Someone said some...

ok..now i am having troule with decision

KB tune is pretty conservative with timing and A/F. How do you know it's the tune or just normal wear, overreving, or just bad gas and detonation? I've read more then a few posts on people running Prochargers and Vortechs losing an engine. Guy in our mustang club had a 9psi Procharger...

    KB Dyno tonight

Get a copy of the dyno chart, take a pic of it and post it please. Peak torque and peak hp aren't everything.

    outta here....victim of marketing

I agree. This is a busy site the uses a lot of bandwidth. Needs to pay for it somehow and it's not like you get marketing emails or anything. Get a life.

    KB Dyno tonight

What KB? Intercooled or non-intercooled? Do you back off timing for 01's? Do you use SCT tuning?

    KB Dyno tonight

Are the 01's the only ones with head casting problems? How about the 02's-04's? Same issue with boost?

    KB Dyno tonight

Couple of links for you. The VT cams seem to work well and the VT guys answer questions on ModularDepot. Depot seems to be more technically slanted then here. Search on VT Stage for cam info at depot. Obviously you can put the cams in before you get blower...

    KB Dyno tonight

N/A GT's can break into the 12's with a stock engine, a little setup work and working on the driving skills. The 6 psi KB should get him into the 12's around 108-109 in the quarter. I wouldn't call that slow, plus he has all that torque for a daily driver. I alway's thought KB's looked hotter...

ok..now i am having troule with decision

I agree. 330 real hp is still going to be damn quick, especially with your 4:10's.

ok..now i am having troule with decision

You can run 7psi if your willing to make sure you keep the octane around 93-94. Also depends on the timing in the tune. If I was going put on a blower for the dragstrip, the Novi 2000 would be it. For the street, I think roots are better for the daily driver. There is a reason they are...

    4.6 2V Oil Requirements

I thought most of the 4.6's were 6 quarts. The oil pressure gauge is a joke. It is setup to register in one position and doesn't move whether the oil pressure is high or low.

ok..now i am having troule with decision

If I wanted to go with a centri blower, the Novi 2000 would be it. Plenty of room to grow, but most of my driving is under 3000 rpm where I want torque.

ok..now i am having troule with decision

The 6 psi kit offers 100 hp over your starting point. If your at 225 stock, you'll end up around 325 roughly depending on the tune. To upgrade to 9 psi, you buy the intercooler, pulley, and new tune. 325 rwhp with all that torque down low would make the stang totally different. Like...

ok..now i am having troule with decision

You need around 284 rwhp to get into the twelves with the stang. Depends on the total weight when running. Here's the formula. http://forums.modulardepot.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=1877

New SC manifold for 4.6 2V

From my email discussions with Bob at HPS, I have a little background on the development of the 2v manifold. He told me he's a hot rodder at heart and the manifold was developed after work as they are building parts that keep the doors open during the day. HPS builds everything from military...

New SC manifold for 4.6 2V

First off, KB's aren't cheap. 4-6k by the time you get done. Eaton power is still way better IMO then N/A.

New SC manifold for 4.6 2V

More on new 4.6 2v Manifold From Bob Hardin at HPS. "Our N/A manifold is simular to stock but the plenum is bigger and entry is smoother. It can be ported and, due to its design, runners can be shortened for the ultimate custom tuning. Also I believe we can make a dual pattern manifold for...
