    Why not go with the tire that will give you the best traction? Nice times on a heavy ass vert. Stock internals? You Florida guys seem to run damn fast. Noticed your in Florida. You probably have better tracks to run as it's year round operation.

    Gears just convert power to the track. You most likely lost power when you put on the C&L MAF. Go back to stock intake or at least your stock MAF. Also with the 4.10's you going to need DR's. Nitto 555R's at 18 pounds (at the track) will know 3 to 4 tenths off your time and help you launch hard.

    Yep. I don't understand changing out the MAF on a stock engine. Like you said, if you change it, you need to dyno tune it. Never had a C&L just because I've read the MAF's are inconsistant. The Ford 90MM MAF is supposed to be an excellent one if you need a new MAF because of mods.

    His 60 ft isn't terrible with stock gears. 2.2 One track I go to everyone calls Slippery Rock just because no one can hook up. Why don't you suggest the best way to get better 60ft times?

    I thought 4:10's would cost you mph, but get you though the quarter faster. Could be wrong. MPH is horsepower, so if you lost mph after the C&L, take it off and see if that improves or times, or go to a dyno and do it. Couple of pulls is only 70-100 bucks.

    My 3650 was a pain in the butt at high rpm's shifting from 2nd to 3rd. Guy in our club said to try Amsoil. I was thinking Dexron III with Ford Friction Modifier added. Heard that was good too. Seriously, the Amsoil ATF solved the 2nd to 3rd shift issue and tranny's still quiet. Happy so far.

    That's what I was thinking. Maybe even pull the C&L off and get a tune instead of the chip. Bottom line, your losing hp when you added a mod or two somewhere along the line. After what mod did you get slower. That's where to look.

    Synthetic oil every 5k miles

    Even Mobil 1 loses viscosity. One test I read had Mobil 1 down to 83% viscosity after 1500 miles. I certainly wouldn't go more then 3000-3500 miles between changes.

    I'm going with 4:10's this week. Run right at 9 in the 1/8 mile at 78-79 with the 3.27's and DR's. Either bog city or spinning with the DR's. 375 to put in new 4:10's.

    Read this whole thread. Wow. Have a 2004 GT and 2nd to 3rd was a real pain at the strip. Was the only issue with my tranny. Put on a Pro 5.0 and that didn't help. This weekend I had Amsoil put in my tranny and rear end. Only got one run in at the track due to rain, but no problems...
