    Welcome to the club, i have a V1 in every vehicle i own and love them. I operate in "A" All Bogey mode and after a few weeks you will know exactly where all the false alarms are and know when its a real signal.

    If thats how you wanna compare then do it fairly....you can't compare a stroked and poked 302 (now a 347) to a stock displacement 281...lets compare it to a stroked and poked 281 which would be a 324 topped with some 4V heads and your turbos should easily produce 1000+ rwhp....

    Do Flowmasters hurt performance?

    I don't know if Flows rob power but they aren't the best flowing muffler. I have seen several cars pick up 5-15 rwhp just by switching out the Flows for a set of Borlas or Spintechs etc...but these were all 400+ rwhp cars.

    Before the aftermarket plenums came out we all were sporting stock ported plenums and intake spacers. The aftermarket plenums are the best of both and for a decent price. My Steeda spacer was like $50 and the porting was about $40....so it wasn't much cheaper then the plenums out now...

    Question about 96 vert.

    The only issue i ever had with mine (i'm the original owner) is a $50 IAC Valve failure that was simple to replace. Other then that everything has just been normal wear and tare things....like a new top after 8-9 years etc.

    I have the opposite issue, The Steeda Sports claim a 1.25-1.50 drop and mine was a solid 2" and just slightly too much for me especially in the front.

    I know a guy who ran them on his 10 sec 1/4 car for several years in NHRA sponsored events. The spare rim itself is plenty strong enough, you just need to use the propper tire.

    Have you been able to get ahold of the owner of VT yet? Does Scott or Jim answer you in PM still? If so you should find out if VT has any parts in stock and contact a lawyer and make a claim to their product to try and recover some of your losses...If they do have some parts in stock i'd drive...

    I like Crower Cams for 4.6's...they make alot of power and even sound good doing it.

    I have the Comp Beehive in my heads, those are kinda cheap...if i ever upgrade i'd go with Manley but they are more money. I think the Comps would be good for you.

    Vert isn't that much heavier...100-150lbs at the most. The benefits of a vert far outweigh a small weight addition.

    I think he's looking at a used SVO/FRPP blower like mine. I seen one for sale and it includes the 2 pulleys he mentioned.
