    "his car probably came with 16 inch rims from the factory. those were limited to 120. the ones that came with 17's are drag limited. In theory, most stock GT's can get to about 140~145 ish. With gears, a little higher. According to most gear calculators, a GT with 4.10's can hit 162 at redline...

    might not have enough cash to repair rim right away, but need new tires. is it ok to put new tires on the rim for a little while? its prob. a 3 inch bend.

    get a pair of vise-grips, and clemp em down. then justwrench 'em off. I had the same prob. that should work. I had one that didn't though, and i had to get a chisel and tap a groove in the edge of it, then spin it off with a hammer. pain in the ass.

    im not gonna slam my car, I just want to get rid of that ugly gap between the tire and fender well. even with 17's, its like 4 inches. im hoping the steeda sport springs will do that.

    97 gt rims 17'

    I bent my rim on a f***ing pothole the other day. should I get it straightened(if so, where?) or buy a new one? I saw them for 181$, but id like to get used for cheap before I spend them on that.
