I opened my motor. Does this look ok?

My 131K engine looked cleaner than that when I opened it up a couple of weeks ago, also it still had alot of cross hatching left.

Does any one have Thumper gt40p's?

I just had to get creative with the #7 sparkplug and sparkplug wire. I just used a 90* plug wire and cut away half of a sparkplug socket to tighten that plug up, all of the other fit fine, 15 minutes top to solve the problem. The car runs great with the GT40P's and I have no regrets about using...

Suggest a shorty header, BBK Shortys SUCK!

I have BBK ceramic coated shorties on my 95 GT and they work great, I've had them on and off twice because of a head swap and they bolted right back into place no problems or leaks whatsoever. Get coated headers.

Trickflow Street Heat on a stock motor ?

Even a vert with subframe connectors welded in needs the strut tower brace, I could tell a pretty big difference in the way my car handled with it not on there.

    what heads to look into

It took me about 10 minutes of my time to figure out what to do with the #7 plug and wire situation (cut sparkplug socket and 90*plug wire), the passenger side was easy as could be with no issues whatsoever. The sparkplugs only caused a minor setback:D

Order of engine mods on 92 5.0?

I went with gears, intake manifold, headers and exhaust as my first mods. I installed heads last and made big gains from them because I already had the supporting mods.

    Picked up my GT40P's (pics)

I feel like it gained every bit of 30 hp, for the wires I had to use a 90* boot on #7 sparkplug. All of the other wires went right on. A couple of the sparkplugs had to be installed using the spark plug socket and an open end wrench on the end of it, not bad at all. Very worthwhile mod.

I like my new gt40p heads, very good power gain for the money.

    Picked up my GT40P's (pics)

I set the fuel pressure @38 psi and the timing to 13* and it is running like a beast now, the exhaust is much deeper and it picked up a ton of power. I am real happy with the way it turned out:SNSign: Here is a pic of the finished project...

Trickflow Street Heat on a stock motor ?

On a stock motor with decent exhaust you will see about 15 hp, on my car it was noticed in the mid to upper rpms. For sure you will make a gain from the intake swap, throw some heads into the mix and you will have a really have a strong running engine.
