    Note that top speed is in 5th gear instead of 4th gear. That is usually not the case with stock 'stangs. All in all, a good review. Just kind of porky on the weight but we gotta have something to complain about! Start ripping out the sound deadener, etc.

    This is why manufacturers drive pre-production models thousands of miles prior to launch. The first F150 of the last generation I ever saw was parked on the shoulder of Rt 210 in Maryland totally consumed in flames. Better to have this stuff happen now than later.

    Insurance rates?

    My State Farm Insurance coverage on a 2000 GT Convertible costs me $1100 per year with $500 comp deductible and $1000 collision deductible. I live in suburban Philly. I would expect insurance for the '05 Mustang to be comparable to the existing model.
