92 GT vs 93 Cobra braking test

that street brakes are a victom of crappy pad material, poor maintenance and other issues other than that yes they do work. I would never get on anyone who has the cash to buy big brake kits the like. hey the better brakes are well the better they stop. The problem persay with the fox brakes are...

92 GT vs 93 Cobra braking test

rear disc still is a better deal. while yes I haven't run out and done the swap rear disc does offer more consistant braking over time, factory brakes are set up to offer more braking in the front, pad compounds play a huge role and another factor that I would say 90% of people miss is tires...

    Fox Bodies :)

I didn't relize that motors had mileage limits that once they get to a certian mileage then game over. A 20 year old car with 100,000 miles went around 5,000 miles a year that is baby mileage really. plenty of 4 y/o cars with that mileage and plenty of motors with way less than 100,000 that have...

no doubt the reason for little responce to the post. sorry but my 1st thoughts where uhmm why. this will not be a cut and weld in place and go. it is going to be out of line an need some pulling to get it straight again. I have witnessed these types of projects go really wrong.you are...

    Fox Bodies :)

LX should not matter. The cam E8ZE was the late 88 change but has the chart shows the #s are the same, the F1ZE is the revised part # with the bolt hole drilled. The F4ZE is a '95 5.0. cam part # change due to material change only. The F1AE & F4TE would be truck.

    1993 cobra engine

you could still be in a safe range. If your hp rating is dyno #'s they range all over the place dyno to dyno and brand to brand. I have done quite a few dyno meets and mine has been all over the place. weather, the dyno, and other things are a factor. you are right though I have seen plenty of...

    Fox Bodies :)

The info I remember was the change in late '88 was to the intake lobe shape but didn't effect lift in '91 they made a change to bolt hole drilled into the snout but it didn't change the cam lift or profile but changed the part # this cam was also used in the 94-95 5.0.. leaving out the cobra...

    clutch adjustment

If the noise is the pilot or throw you are going to have a tear down on your hands, it's not going to get any better. something isn't right and you need to pull it apart and check. how is the cable routed? how did the fork look? either way I would get it apart and start looking because no good...

    clutch adjustment

Like HISSIN50 stated get yourself a better cable, The OEM cable has proven over and over to be the best cable for these cars. Maximum motorsports sells it and also a full kit with a very good quad and FWA ( although there are a few out there better for this one piece although mine works great)...

I totally agree and will also add Jegs to the list, they have been good to me and my friends for many years also. although when it comes to my motor build keeping it local will be my route and Dez racing will do mine.

    Wheel locks

Sucks. I know of 2 in my area that will, oh well hammer the socket on then and good luck.

    Wheel locks

Almost all tire shops will take them off, probally for a small fee but the kits the tool trucks have on them now are sweet fro removing these things. I have used the hammering on a smaller socket method that will also work.

There was one in the western MA area maybe '91 time frame or earlier. The color and wheels don't help it, the one I remember was a red color with nice wheels and fat tires, looked good from the back atleast. remember Tim Allens nasty one off saleen Fox had thunderbird headlights also but...

    LMR 5 Lug Questions

read slower the info was on page 2 post # 42 but here is the qoute from prime lord.. The main thing on this is to swap to the SN95 spindle/hub assy. Once you do that, you can run any wheel/center cap combo that the 94-04 guys use. The problem on the older style rotor/lug integrated setup is...
