That link will help you out, there are a couple of guys getting 300 out of p heads. The Comp Cams XE270HR was in a car that made 300 wheel. My room mate has the 2031 in his car and it works pretty well with the P heads & 1.6rrs...
I would try and stick with a single as it will be half as much to maintain. www.turbomustangs.com is a great resource and I suggest you go there to see all the kits and what everyone has to say about them. They have a list of every kit available which I have posted below...
The only gripe I have with griggs is their stuff does not last that long on the street. It is race only so if you daily drive it, you could see premature failure. I know that statement seems to apply to the K members I have seen despite being "Street Oriented". MM and Evolution MS design parts...
You can still find people selling their A trims you just have to look hard, Summit had them like 8 months ago. Either way, jumping on the S trim bandwagon is not the best idea unless you are more concerned with peak or need the bigger blower because you would be over spinning the A trim/ SC1...
The problem is that he has an 86 so he has not valve reliefs. If you change heads, then you have to notch the pistons. You might as well, just change pistons if you are gonna be in there. I would get an A trim if you are afraid of change internals.
The biggest problem is that Sportlines lower your car too much. Your control arms are not parallel to the ground, they are angled up which accounts for most of the garbage ride quality. You best bet is to get taller springs if you want a better ride not to mention a better handling car.
Get the AFR's if they are 1000, cause you would be paying to upgrade the TFS heads anyway. You might as well get it done right off the bat. Keep your cobra intake as the difference is marginal between it and the Typhoon. Spend the money I saved you on dyno tuning.
You can get Mac dumps, but they only sound decent with H pipes. My room mate has them on a Bassani O/R X and they sound horrible.
Get a TFS 1 cam, LTs, Mac proflow Hpipe, and Mac dumps and you will have the sound you want.
Not all long tubes will fit. Flowtechs will need to be modified alot. Some require dimpling. Mac long tubes fit. If you want shorties, then you need the Motorsport ones or Mac P specific shorties. You can buy the ones from Central Coast Mustang which are also made by mac, but are cheaper than...
Rod bolts are one of the most important. The stock rod bolts are tiny. Any decent connecting rods will come with better sized rod bolts.
With that said, there is no point to rev the motor if you are not making power that high so you need a cam that actually makes power and some heads that...
If you are planning on getting a supercharger later and are just buying everything piece by piece, there is no reason to buy the 24 pound injectors. Buy the 42 pounders with a maf and just do not put them on until you have a reason to do so. An FMU is a Bandaid for the wrong size injectors, do...
This is pretty ridiculous, not to take sides but ProCharge94 was being appreciative of the answer he got when Joes95GT just started flipping out on him. The fact remains that he has a point, people are much more eager to lend advice about inconsequential topics like painting my mufflers. The...
I ordered an aluminum Fluidyne radiator and I was looking at the shipping invoice and I noticed that I was sent a radiator for an automatic 94-95 GT by mistake. Is this going to make a difference with installation? I have a procharger with a 2-row, in case thickness matters. So, if it fits...
Why would the intercooler make any difference in the sound of the blow off valve? The only thing that makes a difference is how much air is actually blown off. Cars that run intercoolers will typically run more boost. Blitz blow off valves are just not very loud to begin with even on a car...
