    overheating????

    I had this problem last week. I just did a full flush, back flush on my car this weekend. I also installed a new thermostat and housing. and now the car stays at 180* no matter how I drive it. You might try doing that, so you dont have to spend all the money on a new radiator right now.

    WTF! Fuel leaking!

    Found a puddle of fuel under my car today. So I pushed it out of the garage. Then I find the reason. Fuel wasnt pouring out, but it was coming out pretty fast. Its never done this before?!?! :shrug: any idea what might be causing it? Right now I've got it closed off, as it probably should be.

    :notnice: Well if you want to look like an escort go ahead and make the change, but dont destroy the parts so that someone that wants a good looking front end and needs the parts can have them. But what should do is just leave the car as it is and preserve it!

    I've got a new cap to go along with my temp gauge, t-stat. and water neck. And Should I go ahead and buy a new radiator or get my current one checked out?

    well tues or wed I added very little of the dexcool stuff because my coolant level was a little low. But I dont think that it could happen that quickly. But I will use distilled water when I fill it back up. Any antifreeze better than the others?

    anyone ever run battery in hatch?

    you ahve to have a sealed battery box for it to be nhra legal. taylor and moroso both make them. Edit: I have the summit relocation kit in my car right now, but Ive got a taylor box coming to my house via UPS right now.

    You will need a new manifold going from a 2bbl to a 4bbl. But if you did get a DP you will need to do more modifications (heads/cam) for the 600 to be needed. Go with a better cam and get the heads ported to go along with the carb/intake.

    the car sat for 3 years before I bought it so that could be the problem. Bah this sucks, and I did get a cast iron piece today, its actually really freakin bulky, so bulky my damn vac advance is getting in the way of installing it.

    ive had the car for like 3 months. The engine only has like 2500 miles on it. and Ive got all the coolant drained right now. It looks nasty as hell, probably the reason my car has been running hot! And Im installing all new stuff so I guess I'm taking care of the problem then.

    Ive got the sending unit taken care of. Im still not sure about the wiring, so I'm trying to figure it out 100% before I go and mess something up. And hissin5.0 I'm still havin trouble with the way the car is runnin so if you could go into my other thread and help me, Id really appreciate it...

    totally rebuild it with performance parts :) Or if you dont have that kind of change, you could get rid of the 2bbl carb for a 4, headers, exhaust. the usual. but really these will only help so much.
