It sounds about right to me. I got about the same prices when I shopped around before I started my 354 build. I wound up buying an assembled short block instead. By the time you add in the rotating assembly, you'll be well over 2k assuming you go with a forged crank and main girdle. You can buy a...
Yes, with a wet kit your getting extra fuel through the fogger nozzle off the fuel rails/fuel line. With a dry kit you have to get it through the injector. You cant make 350 hp through a 19lb injector only.this is why the cobra used 24lbs.
Yes , I know the dry kit adds with f/p.. but if the 19s are alredy maxed out with all the extra air flow, is it giving it enough? somthing to think about. I think most would tell you to up them to 24s.
Sounds to me like your not getting enough fuel. Do you have stock 19lb injectors? You went with the cobra intake, a and tb are bigger then stock cobra, but the cobra came with 24lb for a reason. You also mention a lot of wheel spin... how much more now then before? I ask that because your 60'...
I don't see what the big deal is:shrug: I haven't seen the artical yet but if they are saying they picked up 12 hp over a ported cobra, then I would say GREAT! Were not talking about what thay gained over a stock manifold, its a ported cobra. A properly ported cobra is no slouch. Its been proven...
Damn, talk about coincedence. I just ordererd a new frpp steel thrust plate for my new 354 build, because I don't trust the original cast piece. You can order one online at Mustangs unlimited and they will ship tomorow, should have it by wednesday. I think it was $54. Just orderd mine 10 min ago.
I'll second that! I did one on jackstands years ago. Never again! Installing gears while on your back sucks. It takes about 3 times as long to do and trying to hold the diff in and get everything bolted up then setting backlash, while on your back, feels like your upside down. Its just a...
Saw something here and had a question. I see both of you mention he has a 4:10 gear ,but the dyno sheet shows a 3:73. Wouldn't this make a difference on the actual HP/TQ numbers? I dont have any experience with dyno's but I'm getting ready to put mine on one for a tune, and common sense tells me...
If you don't like the way it performs(BBK) and wind up taking it off,let me know, I might be interested in "playing" with it just to see what can be done with one.
Awesome! Congrats :nice: Don't worry about the $$$,you'll forget about how much you spent the first time you crank it over and it comes to life:D
Most people don't realize how much it takes to put one together,I'm just about done with my 354 stroker build and the only things I used off my...
I think my autometer electric was about $250,and another $30 for the two gauge pod that goes in place of the dash clock. Looks sweet. As mentioned, you dont want to go with mechanical inside the car :nono: It's worth the 250 bucks for the peace of mind the inside gauge gives me.
Keep going... I'm at 14k right now on a 354 N/A build with a stock block! The trans and rear are going to need swapped out, either now or after you break it,your going to need a good cooling system, not to mention a good ignition system, then you have to get all that power to the ground with new...
Just thought some of you might be intrested in looking at some great pictures of an original 95 Cobra "R". Hell, you might even want to buy one! Right now there are THREE different original Cobra R models out of 250 made for sale on ebay. Heres the chance to see one of the best sn-95 cars ever...
Why not go ahead and get the aeromotive kit with the fuel rails? The kit has everything you need. All those fittings really start adding up quick$$$
Besides, with that 347 build your probably going to need them anyway, especially with the 100 shot. your going to need lots of fuel.
I'm going with 3 inch too on a 354 build. No cats, but I am putting a H pipe in.
Flowmasters with turndown at the axle. If you get yours done first, let me know how it worked out for you, mine will be another 3 weeks, waiting on the port man:D
