    Happens when lifter bleeds down. Tighten rocker while watching lifter when it starts to depress consider that zero lash, turn 1/4 turn and lock down.

    anyone have an a/c delete kit?

    I have a Ford Motorsport a/c delete kit, comes with everything you need except directions. Bought it from Mustangs Unlimited but Summit has them cheaper. It moves it a little higher but not where a/c was. Off memory was about $40.

    Cylinder wall thickness has nothing to do with it, its the thickness of the top of piston that comes into play more and of course the parts. Theoretically a 306 can handle more boost than a 331 & 347 since it has the thickest compression height of the three listed.

    Looks to me like a good power adder cam, in a 302 your going to run slower than stock cam and you absolutely will need minimum 3.73s out back. I wouldn't run it, even with a set of good heads (AFR165s or TWs) and intake (Street Heat or Performer).

    Are you saying this from experience or hear say? Stock cam opens intake valve 13 degrees after TDC then closes it 44 ABDC, the exhaust valve opens 39 degrees BBDC and closes it 9 degrees BTDC (all at 0.05"). Why do you have to notch the piston when vlv's are no where near piston?

    With a stock cam the 2.02 vlv will clear and they are not too big for a stock 302. Go over to Corral.net and do a search for ndpm40, he installed them on a 302 with stock cam and heavily ported stock intake and made more torque and HP from idle up. You won't see much benefit from using them...

    Get an air grinder because that way you can buy a speed controller too. Harbor freight sells a nice one for $40 also goto standard abrasives website they have some info on how to do it.
