    SCF's World's Fastest Shootout

Are any of those broken fast notchbacks gonna be there? :rlaugh:

    For those that are supercharged....

Drivability loss is and should be "0" if the car is set up and tuned properly. Mine drives like stock, idles like stock, and goes on 1000 mile trips just like it did when it was stock. Just keep the power in check, don't get greedy, and you'll be fine.

    n/a or supercharged?

Impressive numbers, no doubt, but now your'e talking a built motor which is something the thread starter seems to be trying to stay away from so the cost gets a little out of hand for him. I read where some guy made 600 rwhp with stock heads and intake recently (blower, of course) so I guess...

    Coolant leak on 4.6

I don't think anyone suspected the plenum. The intake is what we were suggesting he look at along with other things.

    n/a or supercharged?

You just said exactly what I said in my post you quoted lol. Both require effort and the owners of each type of car should be proud.

I thought I understood exhaust, but I guess I am retarded...

Any time you mix and match exhaust parts (sometimes you have no choice) there's a possiblity that it will not "bolt up". In theory the cat back is a simple replacement so everything should be in the factory location. The x pipe is also a replacement of a factory piece leading me to believe...

    Coolant leak on 4.6

Sounds like a deal if that's all it is although it could very easily be a cracked intake, which is a common problem but fairly cheap and easy to fix, or even a head gasket. I'd want to look it over extensively before I bought it.

Mustang rear brakes... Lets talk about it!

Yes, it is clockwise and it shouldn't be too difficult to turn in. There is always the possiblity that the caliper has seized too. Were the old pads worn evenly? Are both sides being that difficult?

Mustang rear brakes... Lets talk about it!

Pliers will do the job but you might try the little tool that's made specifically for the rear caliper. Costs about $5 at your local parts store and fits a bit better. Your'e doing it correctly so that's the only suggestion I'd have. Good luck.

NEED HELP!!!!! Do you think I hurt my tranny?????

Ah, the neutral drop. ;) Probably didn't hurt a thing, especially with it only being 900 rpm and it driving fine.

is the 5 psi vortec system worth it

Do you have a link to a 5 psi kit? The only cheaper vortech kit I know of is a tuner kit.

Is it possible for T&J to come through again???

I can see where it wouldn't add a significant amount on a n/a car but a broad statement like saying it will add "nothing"? What about the 99-01 cobras that had the power problem and were given the revised cat back, ecm reprogram, and intake modification? I know that's more than a cat back but...

Is it possible for T&J to come through again???

Your'e telling me that if he added a cat back his gains would be nothing? My tuner has some explaining to do if that's the case.

    n/a or supercharged?

I can certainly appreciate the hard work that goes into building a fast n/a car but to say that just slapping on a supercharger is easy is a little far fetched and kind of a blind statement. As someone else has said already, take a quick spin in a blown car and you might think twice...

Is it possible for T&J to come through again???

Impressive results. I'm sure a cat back would add a significant amount of power. Congrats.

Who has installed heavy duty axles?

Agreed. I can see where that kind of an impact would bend an axle and would also suggest checking other suspension pieces. As far as replacements go if you intend on racing any at all now is the time to upgrade so at a minimum get some 28 spline forged axles (moser, strange, superior, etc)...
