    From the research that Ive done I lean towards a H-pipe. A H-pipe tends to give you a little more on the bottom end with higher torque numbers as opposed to a X but the X will flow better on the top end and tend to give you a few more ponies on the high side.     Do you have a circuit tester or VOM? make sure u have power on the load side of the fuse. If you do..you might possibly have a connection loose or unplugged behind your instrument cluster.

    There is some truth to a lessening of cooling. Underdrives are meant for the track where the motor is seeing more rpm and slowing down of accessories isn't a issue in this case.
