    302 to 351W

As far as boring an engine. Its never a good idea to go over .060, on any engine. I know on some older Chevy 265 v-8's you can bore them to .125 over, which essentially makes them a 302. But its never a good idea to do that, if you can get by with honing, do it, no need to bore unless the...

    302 to 351W

No, the stock 351 stroke is 3.50, the "393" crank, has a 3.85 stroke. The 302 and 351 have the same size bore, 4.00. The deck height on the 351 is higher.

    302 to 351W

Correct, the 3.85 stroke of the stroker crank increases the stock (3.50) stroke of the 351 and you use stock 5.956 351 rods and find some forged pistons out of a 5.0, i think, correct me if im wrong on this, they put forged pistons in the 88-late 92 5.0's, in 93 i think they switched to...

Looking to put a camshaft in my GT, any suggestions? ?

Agree'd, buy a set of heads first. Installing a cam just for the sound is pointless, trust me, you'd be happier if you bought heads first.

    302 to 351W

Buy you a cheap 393 crank from Scat, they're like $395, you can use stock 351 rods, pistons, etc with it. Have some older 69-70ish 351 heads ported and stick on it with a decent cam and go with that, should be pretty damn fast. Or get some forged 302 pistons from a 5.0 and use those with it...

Just got a new block, wher to find casting number

usually the casting number is down where the starter goes, on the passenger side of the block near the bottom at the back of the block. If its aftermarket, i have no idea, if it was only 350 bucks, it was most likely a factory block.

    starting problems

You try jumping it off or charging the battery? Had the same problem in a truck with 351C and thought the solienoid had went bad, turned out the battery went dead cause the belt that turned the alt. had came loose and wasn't charging the battery, try charging the battery or jumping it off.

Clutch got REAL soft, WONT WORK

Your cable could have just streched or broken, check that. Or check the quadrant and check down where the cable attaches to the fork, may have come loose. What kind if clutch you got? Did it just stop working while you were driving or did you cut if off and come back and it wouldn't engage...

    Broke again

If your car was running and the battery wasn't charging, it was the alt. Take it and have it tested. Make sure you keep the battery charged while the alt. is out of the car or it will go bad and need to be replaced, if you just let it sit while its dead.

Why only the 460 BB in a Fox?

Make it simple, just stick to the basics... 289-302-351W-351C-400M-427-428-429-460 These are the basic engines that most come across when talking about Fords...unless your doing some tooth and nail resto....Thats my opinion. If your building a performance engine. Its usually cheaper to...

Why only the 460 BB in a Fox?

For all out racing, where money is no object--Big block. For nice, 400-500hp street car---Small block. Both have their uses, advantages, disadvantages. Small blocks are just more streetable these days. Big blocks in racing...One thing, they're so strong, another is the torque output, and...
