`98 Cobra too slow need help

If you drag, get 4.30's. Don't get the 4.10's. 4.30's + Longtubes + midpipe + catback + CAI may break 12's. FWIW my car went 13.2 with 3.73's, offroad h-pipe, and 8.5" wide ET drags. That was with lowering springs (bad for the drags).

How many miles? Sounds like you need to clean your IMRCs. You aren't short much HP at all, BTW.

header install, use factory bolts or no

Yes, you can re-use the stockers. If you have the extra money, why not invest in some stage 8 locking bolts? They're guaranteed not to back out. If you re-use the stockers, I suggest bolting the new headers back on, warming up the motor to operating temperature, letting it cool, and getting...

A catback isn't going to provide noticable results, seat of the pants wise.

    New Cobra gets smoked...

Nice theory but it doesn't hold true. This seems like a no brainer but you could trap 120MPH and run 13s or trap 109 and tickle 11s. Suspension, weight, traction, and driver skill all play critical roles in determining which is really faster.

Forged lower + solid axle. After those are done, get the car to stick and do some suspension mods or work on trying to lighten it up a bit.

Engine shutters and shakes at idle, CEL is on

The air pump won't cause any drivability problems. It'll throw a code if it's unplugged, but you won't notice a difference without it on. I simply unplugged mine and left it hanging there. No harm, no foul. For the bucking problem, the MAF may be dirty or my bets are on the IAC being dirty.

What does a 99 Cobra Vert run in the 1/4

The 1/4 mile can be anywhere from a 13.5 - 14.3 depending on driver, experience, tire condition, traction, shift points, humidity, air, track prep, weight transfer, etc. There is no one right answer for this and there are variances between the seemingly exact same cars. Expect a trap speed of...

Long tubes and oil consumption on 4v's

Dude, punctuation and sentence structure are your friends. They don't mind being used. Do you work for MAC or just swing from the 2003/2004 Cobra? They had problems, too, so don't start on the whole 2003/2004 are the latest and greatest cobra's EVAR point. Sounds like you got a bad apple with...
