    what do you mean by surge?? it would boost to a point and then "blow off" in some way lossing allot of boost then build again to repeat??? yeah that would NTO be good.. Yeah the parasitic loss is extreme on blowers..

    Yeah I don't have specifics, but I think the 2.3 is more like 200-300lbs lighter... evintho's numbers seems to support that as a complete 5.0L is in the 565lb range (with water pump alt etc)

    Must be a factory 5.0 coupe then... The 4cyl ones are a dime a dozen, I just got one last week for $280. Congrats!! Coupes are my favorite and I was glad to finally get one.

    Local shop here had 2.3L reman heads in the same price range, I did not catch the core rate though. And that was for a 91LX, not turbo, but from what I have heard the heads are all the same..
