    My center link does not move up and down. Only side to side when you turn the steering wheel. Are you saying that your rack has play in it vertically? Where the tie rods are bolted to the center link or the whole center link?

    Mounting them as close to the engine a possible but after the tubes come together. Before or after the collectors is best. Since my new shorty headers are coated I am mounting mine after the collector.

    Is that you Chad? On a side note. I added a GM Saginaw pump to my car this past winter and the rack has an even better feel. It has a better feel and not so easy to turn due to less pressure/flow.
