Found a set of heads and cams on craigslist.

I second all of this. I know a guy that runs Comp 270's on a stock bottom and and no problems, but they had to be retarded some I'd imagine. I've heard from reputable sources that they'll kiss pistons if installed "straight up", or advanced.

Smokin' deal... If I recall, the difference is approximately 1".

    nitrous questions

Yes, do the plugs to be on the safe side. I use copper Autolite 103's. I didn't notice a difference with them, even though they are a colder plug and gapped much tighter. I'd stick with a copper plug or the TR6's (can't recall if they're copper). I believe Iridium plugs actually have a...

    SN95 Rear End ?'s

Wait for a 99-04. The 98's will be narrower.

another pi swap question, cant find cause of a misfire

Possible that coolant got in the plug wells and is fouling the spark? And don't count on that hairline crack holding for a month or two. When it goes, it will be messy. I popped mine during a WOT run and it was ugly.

Which car would have the higher trap mph?

Nitrous. It will make pretty comparable power to a blower but the torque will be noticeably higher in most cases. My car probably puts down 375-380ish at the wheels, but probably in the lower 500's of torque on spray. It's instant and if you can get a nitrous car to hook, launches are just...

Need Advice Quick Please! - Car at Ford Waiting for me to call back

$320 to torque it down?!?! Did you offer to lube you with salt t0o before they stick you?!?!?! As pointed out... these intakes don't warp. They aren't metal. On older intakes the front coolant crossover is prone to cracking. However, after mid 2001 the updated intakes with the metal...

I wish I could make that same move. How awesome is it?

    NOS with throttle body??

Has the car been tuned yet? That's a key question to find out. And you need a nitrous specific tune if it has not been tuned yet. You'd NOT be happy with putting a regular "performance tune" with a car on spray... bad things would happen. A nitrous tune is going to give you more fuel and...

What would you do with 5-6k?

I've spent probably close to $5k on my car over the years (not all in mods) and if I could go back, I'd have bought my car, done a few key mods and left it the hell alone and put the rest in the bank. Forget spending that kind of cash on a 10 or so year old car unless you have excess money to...

    NOS with throttle body??

Save your money on the throttle body since you have spray. I'd rather have an extra, full bottle than an aftermarket throttle body/plenum.

    Strange 10-way vs. Tokico D-spec

Had a couple of people tell me they couldn't get the Strange struts to work with CC plates.

    Cams?

Unfortunately, cams won't get you "real hp" from these cars. With a good selection of cams, longtubes and a tune, you could expect 30-40+ rwhp depending on your setup. It's a very expensive mod for the power gained. Cams are about $600 on up for most, plus $200ish or more for valve springs if...

    Gear oil?

85 will be fine but as stated, you'll need to add friction modifier unless the gear oil already contains it. It should clearly say so if it does.

    Oil question?

I'd do it every 3k or 6 months, whichever is first. Oil will break down quicker from my understanding if it's in an engine that sees minimal use and a lot of sitting time.

    Professional Products Throttlebody/Plenum....Any good?

I have a PP 75mm throttle body and it's, at least in my case, a very quality piece. I don't have their plenum, but I know a couple people who have and they have zero complaints. I'd not buy a Typhoon intake, but I'd buy their throttle body and/or plenum again.

    new edge questions

These are pretty problem free cars. Only thing I'd check are the basics... make sure all fluids are full and fresh, listen for any odd noises, etc. Check the front tire wear to judge how the alignment is. Depending on how low it is, you might need caster/camber plates to get a solid alignment.

Looks awesome. Everything you have done to that car has made it better and better.

    Nitrous build questions.

All that sounds good. Subframe connectors are a great choice. Go will full length weld in's though. NX makes great stuff. Do you want a nozzle or plate kit? Plate is superior and easier to install, costs a little more though. 12's on street tires should be a breeze as long as you're getting...
