    Friction force has nothing to do with Surface area. ForceofFriction=CoeffOfFriction*ForceNormal. ForceNormal is the force of the brake pad on the rotor. You have the same friction force no matter what the area.

    Check your plugs, gapping, rotor, and cap. I know my cousin changed his plugs and one boot was not seated right. ate through it real quick leading to a miss on one cylinder.

    I have no #'s but I feel that the advise was sound and from a reliable and proven source. Ask in the 2.3 turbo section. They will provide you with better info.

    Not true. Did you read your first post. (the large cut and paste)? But for everyday drives that don't compete what is the point? :shrug: You guys all go buy your slotted rotors and fancy brake pads. I will stick with my cobra setup. It works for what I need.

    To test the acclerator pump you can push the throttle while looking down the carb. (while the car is not running, you don't want it to backfire and have your face over that) and see if gas gets squirted out. You will notice see it.     The right calipers could be dragging. The rear-end could be off center or off track (one tire is farther back then the other) Alignment off. Tie-rods, ball joints, pitman arm joint worn??

    swapped out the 7.5 with an 8.8 awhile ago on the 79. No problems using the air-tools. With the impact wrench I find it is harder to shear the heads off of the bolts. Have never sheared a bolt with the impact wrench, but plenty with a breaker bar. I just jacked the new rearend up by the diffy...

    Get a hold of Thumper460. He does a lot of work on heads and could price something out for you. May be a cheaper option for you. I personally haven't used them, but many other stangnetters have.
