    Changes!!!!

Sam up there pretty much hit it right. The show cars you may have seen are built for display. Hence if you check out the wheels, you will notice the valve stems are found behind the spokes, not easily accessible. And yes, the interior is very leather laden. And now the hood has changed as well...

Get your 05 / 06 Mustang at a BIG discount!

Approx 45% of all 06s right now being built will be GTs, from that number not even half will be manuals. Yeah there are tons of V6s, in fact you can't even give them away now, but if you want a manual GT, you're still going to wait and pay. Example, in my office we had 3 manual GTs to allocate...

    Low Order# and Priority# is a must !!!

The dealer's order number has nothing to do with when it will actually be built, their order number is how they run their own business. The priority code is where something gets scheduled into Ford's order bank. Yes, the highest priority code a dealer can assign is 10. Thus if your is 11 you're...

    2006 Mustang Production

One simple explanation. Commodity controls. Only about 40% of all Mustang productions will be GTs, and of those only 55% will be manuals. There's alot of different materials that there simply aren't enough of. Want the new 18" wheels, good luck. :(

    gt-500 for 70k?

Did anyone else buy from this dealership? If so, it may be tough if they are other guys in the same shoes. You're almost dead on with the production number. And there is no official word on how long the Cobra run will be, but general consensus is that it is between a year and two.

    Waiting On Your 2006 Order?

Is anyone waiting on a retail order of a 2006 Ford Mustang? If so, please list location and time you ordered. I'm doing a small, err rather large research project. Also list what type of 'Stang and your options. Thanks in advance! :nice:

Shelby Cobra GT500 in Ann Arbor

Cool, I snapped pics of this one on the way to work one morning last week. Immediately realized what was in my rearview far away and grabbed my camera. Manufacturer's plate, notice the "gascap" says Ford and not Shelby..hmmm Has production wheels, notice the valvestem is easily...

    gt-500 for 70k?

This vehicles will be marked up, $20K? Well maybe for that guy that just has to have the first one is his state. I can tell you that these vehicles will be hot! Yes, they will use a 5.4L SCed V8 putting out 500horse and they will hang with the Z06 and Viper, our main competitor. So to put a $41K...

    19" wheels?

Not sure about the Cobra, but the 06 GTs will have an 18" wheel option. They are on commodity control though and will be fairly hard to get.

    GT 500 or Saleen

The GT500 will not have 475hp. It won't sticker for $48K as well, will they be sold for $48K...definitely though. Wait for the Cobra, that's my only regret with getting my first 'Stang, I SHOuld have waited for the Cobra...

    Breaking in these ponies

I already put on the first 1,000 miles. When I was on the freeway I kept alternating my speed and running through the gears every five to 10 minutes. Now that I got it back home to Michigan I did replace the oil already, can't hurt right? And yeah, I did run it a bit hard, even did some more racing!

    Gas Gauge problems?

I had an odd occurrance last night driving back home. I filled up completely(fourth fill up so far). And when I got back on the freeway I noticed my gas gauge was still low near the red. I checked the info screen and it said I had 60 miles to empty. I starting getting pissed thinking the gas...

2005 Mustang Mods that DON'T void Warranty

Bill is very proud of the Mustang, so proud in fact that he does have his favorite car in the world bone stock. So yeah, keep it stock for the warranty period, then the standard rule of you play you pay applies.

    Breaking in these ponies

Just picked up my first 'Stang ever, and wow what a ride! Got the GT Premium edition in red with the red leather interior and of couse a fivespeed. I've already put a few hundred miles on it, but my question is, what's the best way to break in the vehicle for best performance and reliability...
