a little pinging when I accelerate after

I hate to say it but it's probably the CAI that's the culprit. I have seen several people try to use "no tune required" CAIs with very poor results. EVERY ONE of them has resulted in detonation (at best) to going into limp home mode. The only one that I've seen work without a tune is a K&N drop...

    2011 GT 5.0 or 07-09 Shelby GT 500

I was driving by a local small used car dealership and saw something that I NEVER see at used car dealerships.....an '07 GT 500.I stopped to take a look and just to see what the asking price was. It was completely stock and had just over 5k miles on it. It was absolutely immaculate. They were...

Has anyone had issues with SCT tuners?

I have the SCT Livewire. When I first got it I had an intermittant problem with it locking up and displaying scrolling garbage on the screen. I called SCT, and left a message because they weren't open when I called. I got a call back as soon as they got the message, but I happened to be out...

    sct tuner

If you are going to mod your car, and want to increase power, you NEED a tuner....period. Any mod that will make any power will need a tune to go with it. Even in stock form, the gains from a good high octane racing tune are quite good. And if you have an auto, you need a good tune even...

    New 5.0L supercharger testing

If I were to spend the money on a collector edition Mustang then the new GT350 would be the one that I'd want....Classic styling and this will be the last GT350 produced.

My hood is about to FLY OFF!

Thats great info :nice: My original belly pan got ripped off by a piece of rebar sticking out of a parking block (my car is lowered 1 1/2"). This looks like the perfect replacement, even though I've had no problems with hood lift.

Guy goes for a test drive in a new 5.0

Sounds like they probably have a Honda Civic with VTec stickers all over it, APC Lighting, and a fart can muffler sitting back at the dealership waiting on them to get back from their test drive in a car with real power :rlaugh:

    Cam suggestions

If you're going to go with Detroit Rockers, then I would definately get my tune from Brenspeed. Since they are a custom ground cam made by Brenspeed, not everyone is going to have the cam profiles to tune it right. Also, if you buy your mods from Brenspeed then I believe that they supply free...

My hood is about to FLY OFF!

This seems to be a very hit and miss issue with the S-197s. I have had absolutely no problem with mine at speeds of 100+, but others, like you have had bad hood vibration at even low speed. It seems that usually adjusting the stops takes care of it, but it soundl like you've already tried about...

    Dyno run

Here, I DO have a pic of him running.....this is the only running that he'll be doing. "And for one I don't run at national trails " You don't run at National Trail or anywhere else...you never have, never will. So, whats the point of having a "345 HP" Mustang???

New to Stangnet and have a ton of questions

Welcome, and very nice 'stang...I love the anthrecite bullitt wheels. Just a suggestion, but the common concensus is that you would be better off saving your money on the TB spacer, Throttle body, and K&N intake. It has been pretty much proven that the TB spacer does nothing. The stock...

    Over-rev ---> Odd sound at 3,000rpm.

You say that you are replacing the shifter? When you mis shifted, did you jam it in gear? I highly doubt that you did anything to the engine. The rev limiter is designed to cut power way before any damage would be done. Most likely you bent something in the shifter linkage or messed up a...

Don't care because whatever it is you had to have someone else put it on for you. Since your car nor you have NEVER been on any kind of track, that is a blank statement. Again, I don't care what you HAVE....I KNOW that you ARE a POSER. Nope, you don't......just keep...

Water / oil pressure gauge help?

For the oil pressure sender, you can use a T fitting and retain the stock sender. For the Water Temp, there should be a threaded plug on the top of the thermostat housing(driver side top front). You can use adapter fittings and put the sender there. There are 2 problems with using...
