    FRPP cams and 4.10 gears

You just need a tuner to change the gear ratio. If you get custom tunes (from brenspeed, bama, etc) make sure that you tell them about all of your mods...including the gear ratio.

    Suspension work over

Yeah, I'm actually glad that it didn't turn out super low right away. That way I'll still have room for settling and to play with different wheel/tire combos. Wow......I thought that 1.5" was about the biggest drop that you could get for these cars. 2" would definately not be practical for...

    Suspension work over

Cool, thanks Walter. They look like some real quality pieces, and the prices are pretty good too. Which LCAs do you have? I don't know if adjustible LCA's are needed, especially on a mostly d/d. But an adjustible upper would definately be a good idea.

    Suspension work over

Any noticible difference in noise? Not that it matters much to me, plus my exhaust does a pretty good job of drowning out unwanted noise anyway :nice:

    Suspension work over

Not right away...but it WILL come :D Now that the mod bug has bitten, I'll have to get a second job to support my habit :nonono: I'm also hearing alot of people who really like the J&M stuff too, so I'll be taking a closer look at that too......

    Suspension work over

Yeah, but it leaves room for bigger rims & tires too, which I was worried about. I really like the look of KoolDawg's setup, and if I go that route, I'll need to leave a little room for those fat rears :nice: By the pics, it looks like you could barely put a piece of paper between kooldawgs...

    cylinder 8 misfire

Cylinder 8 is the driver side rear most cylinder. Your problem may be a bad coil pack, as detailed in this TSB: http://www.stangnet.com/images/stories/docs/s197_TSBs/05-22-8.pdf But first, I would check the connections on the coil pack, and check the spark plug. Be careful when...

    Suspension work over

Well, after having my springs sitting in my garage laughing at me (because I haven't put them on yet) and after all of the doom and gloom talk about rubbing, scraping, etc., etc. I decided to install them with everything else being stock just to see how low my car would be and make sure that I...

    Paint question

My '05 has several places where the clearcoat is starting to come off. They are just very small spots right now (maybe 1/8"), but I'm sure that I'll have to have the car clearcoated again soon. Early versions of "Environmentally Friendly" paints and sealents had alot of problems with lack of...

I sold my 90 5.0 vert. and my 89 GT... and bought a 05 GT

Ahhhhhhh......my eyes. Thats a really nice 'stang, but I'm with you on not liking the bling. That car will look so much better blacked out :nice: I'm looking to do a black chrome or black nickel plating on all of my chrome emblems. Welcome to the S-197 world. I really miss my '89 LX...

    Parking Lot Bumpers

Damnit......just when I was feeling good about scoring a set of FRPP 1.5" lowering springs for $100, I see all of this talk about scraping and sh** The plan is to get matching FRPP dampers, Steeda caster/camber plate, and camber bolt before I do the install, but now I'm wondering if I...

    SLP Loudmouth- Need advice!

I think that I had them at my door in 2 days. Brenspeed has always been awesome at shipping things quickly, and their customer service is great too. If Brenspeed carries it, then I buy it from them.

    SLP Loudmouth- Need advice!

Also, the fit and finish are excellent. It took me about 45 minutes to install in my driveway. It took longer to get the car jacked up then to install the axle back. :nice:

    Map Lights won't turn off?

Yep, i've done this while cleaning my car...took me a minute to realize why my dome light wouldn't go out :rlaugh: I do this pretty regularly....luckily these cars have that annoying sounder that tells you that your lights are on. I'm only 5'6", and I hit my head on the A-Pillar almost...

    SLP Loudmouth- Need advice!

I watched a TON of videos while researching exhaust options, but the problem is, you can't really judge how loud they are on most of the videos. Plus most of them are sitting in a driveway at idle and maybe goosing the gas a little  If you go with a catted X or H pipe, it would be...

    Rear lights

On these cars, the backup lights are controlled through the CAN bus, so this could be difficult to troubleshoot. The PCM (Powertrain Control Module) gets a signal from either the reversing lamp switch (manual transmission) or the DTR sensor - Digital Transmission Range Sensor (auto...

    SLP Loudmouth- Need advice!

I have SLP Loudmouths, and I love them. The sound is nice and throaty with little drone. At first I thought that they might be too loud as well, but then I put some on my BIL's '05 GT and I was surprized at how good they sounded. They really aren't too lound unless you're into it (I love driving...

    Trunk release switch

Hey Casey4s..... Where did you get the black chrome horse for your grille? I want to get all of my chrome emblems done in black chrome or black nickel plating, but the 2010 Mustangs have the pony emblem available in black chrome. I just don't know if it will fit in an older (2005) grille.
