need help finding-small heim joint for throttle....

Just to add one more really good parts source, try www.speedwaymotors.com for all kinds of race and street hardware. They have those and many other rod ends at very good prices. I've ordered from them many times and they have always provided great service.

    J-car rack and pinion

Re: the 71-73 Mustang Saginaw box. I sent a box to AGR Steering to be reworked two years ago and they were able to rebuild it with 12:1 ratio, high-effort components that matched the WS6 TransAm/Z28 internals. Cost was about $400, IIRC. Car was amazingly transformed.

    New Mustang 66.

:rlaugh: Drag car, my tired ass. That is such a trailer/show queen I'd be surprised if it could get up on the display under it's own power. Double rootes blowers? Yeah, that's effective....that's why all the real drag racers run them. I guess the trunk lid is hinged backwards to act as an...

Or you may have run across a Lincoln Versailles which has different ball joints.

    Granada swap problem

It's the other way around. Smaller bore MC = less pedal pressure, but at the expense of pedal travel.

I mounted mine with aluminum straps bolted to the radiator brace.

    I6 upgrades, any suggestions??

Get rid of the Load-o-matic distributor and get a Duraspark II or a 68-later points style distributor and add a Pertronix. Hook the distributor to manifold vacuum unless you also change carbs. FSPP headers are good quality and fit nicely.

    65-65 performance radiator

Like I mentioned in the other post, I had to make mounts. This is a generic racing radiator, not a bolt-in Mustang piece. But the mounts I made are just aluminum angle, some aluminum sheet and a few bolts. I ordered the 22" Ford version. Ignore the oddball engine; the inlet and outlet are...

    65-65 performance radiator

The one I have is a two row, but each of those rows is an inch wide. The total surface area is greater than a three row brass radiator. Works great on mine and keeps the engine cool even in hot Florida summers, idling in traffic.

Easiest way to change torque converter?

By the time you have disconnected everything necessary to do that, the tranny is practically out. Now would be the time to replace the input shaft and tailshaft seals, filler o-ring, and maybe the pan gasket and filter.

    65-65 performance radiator

I have one from Afco Racing in my 66. $179 But Speedway Motors has a similar one for $149. This pic is from their site and is a Chev radiator. The Ford inlet/outlet/filler is reversed. The downside is no drain, no tranny cooler, and you have to make your own brackets. But it works...

    Spoiler or no Spoiler...?

Without. Those spoilers are not functional, just boy-riceracer add ons. This is a clean design that looks so much better without all the scoops and wings and such. Form should follow function and that spoiler does not function.

    performance pads for granada discs????

I would like to find some carbon metallic pads for my Granada brakes, too. Is that what the taxi pads are made of? I, too, was a little skeptical, that pad material could make such a big differnce, but on the advise of some other Jag owners I replaced the regular asbsetos based pads on the...

    Summit dual exhaust?

Flipping thru the Summit catalog last night I saw a 2 1/4" dual system with mufflers for early stangs with headers for $129. Anyone ever use one of these?

Stock performance of a 66 Coupe?

Having owned more than a couple of these in the last 30 years, I think 15's would be VERY optimistic. I've seen the average stock 4bbl Mustang run 0-60 in about 10.5 and low 17's/high 16's @ 90-95 mph, give or take, depending on state of tune. It's not so bad; the six cylinder 66 road tested...

    69 carpet in 66?

I like the look of the 69 Mach black carpet with the red inserts. Anyone know of any reason that would not fit my 66?
