    Competition for the V6 mustang

It's a TRUCK, not a sports car. No matter how fast, how low, how well it handles, it is still a TRUCK. Trucks, even fast ones, are not now, not ever going to be sports cars, muscle cars, or pony cars. TRUCK. whole different market, if you ask me. I think the real V6 Mustang competition is...

How much is VAT on a new car in the USA?

There is no Value Added Tax in the USA. Each state and locality determines a Sales and Use tax which ranges from 0% to as much as 10% on purchases. However, items sold outside the jurisdiction of the taxing authority usually have no such taxes imposed. For example, in my business I do not...

Questions about AOD in 71 stang

The AOD is about 1" longer. The FRPP shaft will fit all those trannies because yoke is long enough to accomodate the C4. The C4 yoke has a longer input than the AOD yoke. It matches the diameter and spline count, but to use the C4 yoke, it may need to be cut down slightly. When I...

    Dipstick for 200ci?

I got one from a later model Buick V6 and simply cut it to length. It has a neat handle that says "engine oil". I marked it by just punching it. I drained my oil, added all but one quart, then marked that spot. Then I added the last quart and marked it again. Fits nice, looks good.

71-73 steering box on older stang

The biggest problem with the Bendix style linkage-assist power steering system is the slop that is designed in. The pitman arm has to physically move the ball stud in order to operate the valve before the steering linkage even begins to move. That big steering wheel movement and lack of...

71-73 steering box on older stang

It might work if you grafted on the left side portion of the frame rail from a 71-73. You'd need to work on a drag link to fit the pitman arm and pay attention to the steering geometry. It would not be a simple job. The 71-73's used a Saginaw box, so if you could make it work, you could use...
