    Not another clutch noise question!!

I bought my Cobra back in October last year. I had the exact problem and thought it was the TB. I changed the TB and found the next day that it was squeeking again. I pulled the trans again and replaced the TB again with the bearing retainer. I added the steel shafted retainer and while that...

    Idle Issues. Please Help.

I recently removed my upper intake and after putting the motor back together, I found that the PCV valve kept popping out. I had idle surging from 1000 to 400 rpm. Vacuum is really only used at idle and drops off as the rpms increase. Try finding a vacuum leak, maybe a intake manifold leak...

AOD to T5 Done, Won't go into Gear

Loosen the cable a little. There should be some slack in the cable. If you can move it a little with your pinky, that should be good. Looser for lower pedl height and tighter for higher pedal height. That is why I think your cable is adjusted too tight. CB

    Anyone done their own headliners?

I am doing a headliner in an exploder next weekend. There is tons of info if you do a google search. You can get the material from a local material store like jo-ann or handcock fabrics. Get the foambacked material and a few cans of trim adhesive. the adhesive you can get at the body supply...

    adjusting clutch cable?

After about 1000 miles on that new clutch, you may have to adjust it a little more. If you have problem getting it in gear ever, adjust the nut a little to get the slack the others have described. One time My mother in law who has a 91 GT drove seven hours with my wife trying to figure...

Want to put cobra gauge cluster in car. What years work???

My gauges are crap in my Cobra. The tach spins around and the lighting at night is terrible compared to my last GT. I do like the look, but for some reason, the gauges were built poorly. You may want to pass on Cobra gauges and get a nice white face overlay.

    3.73's installed.. few questions though

I just drove mine nicely for a few days to settle. Otherwise you really don't have to break them in. If there are no noises now, your perfectly set up.

    new cobra owner!

I bought a 95 Black Hardtop Cobra last October. IT ROCKS. Welcome to the club. As for a manual, Ford will just give you another place to go to to get it. Been there. Just google "ford manual" and there are tons of places that will sell you a non-chilton manual. CB

I went 12.03 and then this happened... (BIG DUW!)

Paul, I see many cheap things there that you can do to get that back on the road. It may not be in the 11 sec club for a while, but pull the pistons and replace them and the wrist pins, check the rod bearings, rent a valve spring compressor if you don't have one and get the valves checked...

    Painting without removing bumpers?

Flex agent is only needed if there is no paint on the bumper (new). I have two body men/painters here that agree. If it is already painted with OEM paint only, and you are repainting it, scuff it real good with a grey scuff pad, wet sand the rock chips, put some good primer on it, scuff after...

    Painting without removing bumpers?

I have painted many urethane bumpers and I have never added flex agent. I do use PPGk36 primer and it bonds like plastic. I myself would remove the bumpers because unscratched areas may contain dirt and contamenants that will peel later. But that is the difference between a $4000 looking...

Got a main seal leak. Help me out.

How much money do you wanna spend and how often do you pull your tranny? I had my fly wheel off this last week and contemplated changing the rear seal as I am at 60K. I decided not to change it because it does not leak. "Don't fix what ain't broke" is what my pop used to say. So If you...

    Mac tailpipes, have question

I was confused too when I went to put mine on. I fiddled around and finally figured out that a bolt goes through the slide groove in the tip and the round post bolts into the black bracket which goes to the stock hanger. Wierd!!!!!
