    Cobra Year Production question...

OK. Since I know the last 6 or 7 sold for less than $50K. No, alot are O/T now. I only know of a few remaining low mile undriven cars. Need a linky?

    Suspension questions

Agreed. Rear: I wonder how the new 2 piece driveshaft is going to work with lowering? Is the panhard bar adjustable? (it will need adjustment if it is lowered. I guess you'll also need adjustable links for the rear? Good point; if you get the pinion angle wrong it will take out the diff...

    Oil pressure too high-97 cobra????

I hope the previous owner didn't put 20W50 mineral racing oil in it. What oil did you use? You could jack up the engine and pull the pan to check the pump. Stock pumps will not generate 120psi. Where did you check the pressure? How many miles on the car (or engine)??

    Cobra Year Production question...

The 00R goes for $35K-40K depending on condition. Be careful with it. Some of the engine parts are impossible to find today.

    05 GT Threads

I like them all! I agree the SN95 vs. S197 threads are silly. Who is faster (S/C Cobras, 00R's, Boss 429 [or 302's], or the GT350R)? Which track?? Drag strip, Rd America, or Rd Atl? I guess it depends where you race and how good a driver you are? My favorite? The '65 GT350R, but I...

'05 Body in white, offering blems??

I think not. They had alot of problems with former SN95 BIW's getting out on the street. SCCA AS? Ford will be glad to get you one. Have you checked the '05 rules? I heard they hadn't addressed the '05 platform? Costs? I know what it costs to campaign an AS car. The $3500 will be...

    Suspension questions

not much help here, but... They had alot of stuff at SEMA. Lowering will effect the camber, but they have camber adjusters already. They resemble the old 60's way of camber adjustment; you bolt spacer-like pieces to the coilovers. I'm sorry but don't remember the maker(s) of the springs...

    Bullit rims on '05

No, they will not work. They will probably rub on the suspension.

Going price for a 93 cobra (little story)

:notnice: I wouldn't go over $4000, and I would fix it myself (I assume you can fix it?). He can get $11K for a wrecked Cobra?? He needs to jump on that.

compressor for AC unit on a 94 cobra.......

You don't usually find a car that needs just a compressor. If it broke, it probably scattered metal in the lines and the other a/c parts. I'd budget $1000 and would be happy if it was cheaper.

What is considered a good camber gain for a performance street suspension?

wildstang, Good luck on your project. I don't want camber gain through the suspension travel on my '65. That would mean when I hit a bump it would change the camber (and steer the car a bit). I try to keep the camber the same throughout the suspension travel (it's easier for me to drive)...

    Front whl brngs...need help asap...pleeeze!

The hubs on SN95 cars are sealed. You can't service them. You can get the hubs from Ford (koyo's, national bearings) or the timken's from NAPA and autozone. Pay from $60-75. Take the old hub off and throw it away. Install the new hub. They are pre-greased and ready to install (you'll see...

302 HO Roller block vs 289

I'd store the 289 in the garage (or sell it to someone is is going to restore to original). Go with the 5.0 roller. You'll get more HP and the engine will last longer with the roller system.

What is considered a good camber gain for a performance street suspension?

What year car are you talking about? Like Mosse stated (very well stated): it depends on all the different suspension pieces, tires, etc. We need more info.

My wheels are out of round, how bad???

I agree (but it doesn't cost to ask). I always assume someone else will drive my car like they stole it. Several years ago I let my younger cousin drive one of my old Fox cars. I lectured him to go easy. He was just out of site when I heard him rev it and drop the clutch. You could here...

My wheels are out of round, how bad???

Tires and wheel problems I am glad you got it all fixed. This thread would be a good search for anyone with similar problems. Congrats to Tirerack and Woody Anderson Ford for solving the problem(s). One other thing. Can I borrow the car for "test purposes" only? :D

    Trailer Hitch for 99 Cobra

Ford recommends no towing with a Cobra. It will burn up the clutch/flywheel. It will void the warranty.

My wheels are out of round, how bad???

3/4" out of round? That just doesn't sound right. That would shake the car badly at speed. Out of round refers to diameters. Warped usually refers to a "sideways" out of spec (mostly due to hitting a curb or other road hazard). I've seen tires "out of round" but never a wheel. I've seen...

performance down sides to rear sway bar?

Both of the above suggestions may be correct depending on what you want to do with the car (drag, street, road race, or a combination), what other performance parts are on the car (tires, front suspension, the type of springs & shocks [or coilovers], panhard bar, 3-link rear set-up, altered...
