    I like where you tee'd into the engine vacuum. ;) I tee'd in at a different source, and it's a PITA to check my tranny fluid with rat's nest back there (around the fuel rail jumper hose)! Nice write-up. :)

    With a lift, you'll want a trans or screw jack to act as another set of hands, but other than that, it's a breeze! Just did mine last weekend. Took my time and used hand tools. 2 hours, if that.

    Okay, did you degree the cams? If so, did you use Fidanza adjustable gears? If not, do you have Patriot heads? I'm with the others....sounds like a bent/bound valve, whatever the root cause.

    Latest word on TrickFlow is June. Also, per the current design (which may be a total tear-up) you'd have to mount your alternator backwards. Not good. And for $600 for the lower and $200 for the upper, I think you'd be far better of going with a Bullitt kit. I just sold one for $925 shipped...

    Ummmm...I gotta believe otherwise. I'm also not sure about the '03 Cobra having a different material. I'm gonna check that out. Even so, I don't think urethane is going to be better than the Flaming River units.

    You should prolly go with a smaller/less aggressive cam, or get a nice set of heads and longtubes to go along with them. Put 'em in the classifieds. Someone will trade you for them, I'm sure.

    Use a degree wheel when installing them. Also known as "degreeing" the cams. This is a must for the cam specs you have given. The lift and duration alone aren't the problem. The cams orientation in your engine is what you have to check. You can go to the MD board and read a write up on it...

    No, your tune was not lost. However, any "short-term learning" prolly will be. Don't worry about it. It should be fine after a few ignition cycles. Take it out and run it thru the normal gammit (sp?) and give it time to settle in.

    Are you pulling fuel off the rail, or before it? The rail pressure wants to be 39.2 psi in stock form, and the computer will correct for this as demand increases and decreases. I believe you can bump that up in the tune.

    Better yet, buy my complete Bullitt intake kit (with alternator, EGR tube, fuel rails, heater tube, etc.) for $1000! I guarantee it moves more air than this hunk of aluminum!

    Well, I'm pretty sure it's a "straight fit" or 3/8-18 NPSF (this is what the print calls for). For pressurized applications, they guideline is to use a tapered fitting in a straight fit hole. However, the NPT will probably hold up. ;) If you have the NPSF, use it. If not...
