    keyway slot on the crank?????

You need a picture of the pulley itself in order for someone to circle it for you. But if you look at your new crank pulley, it should have a slot cut into the inside of where it will fit onto the hub of the crankshaft. There is a key on the crank that will fit into the slot of the pulley to...

Hand held tuner vs. Timing adjuster

I have a SCT chip and wouldn't trade it for anything else. I had a hypertech programmer, but wasn't happy with the results. I picked up a few more horsepower with the chip, because it is made for MY car not a generic program, and its a lot less pain in a$$.

Shift kit vs programmer's shift firm tune? Which is better?

I don't know much about the actual shift kits that you install in these aode transmissions, but I had mine firmed up when I had my chip programmed and it works damn good for me. The thing will roast 2nd gear now.

The dreaded "Cricket Suspension" has plauged my 02' GT......(Covered under warranty?)

It is probably the loop/bracket that the E-brake cable runs through on the rear-end of the car it get dry and squeaks when it is vibrated. You just put a little grease on it and the noise should go away. But, it will probably return eventually, and you will have to grease it again. I just...

Should I Buy CC Plates After Spring Installation?

With a drop of about an inch on these cars, the stock adjustments will only let you get about -1.5 degrees. You really need CC plates in order to get it down to around 3/4 or 1 degree negative depending on your preference. As far as it wearing out your tires, it shouldn't wear them too bad as...

    X-pipes

You could always keep your stock H-Pipe and swap them if something happens. :D I know a guy that bought a brand new mustang and slapped a huge shot of nitrous on it, spraying through the throttle body, needless to say he blew it. He removed the hole nitrous set up put on a new throttle...

How far do Steeda Crank Pulley go in? Mine's not going all the way :(

From the looks of things in the picture you still have a little ways to go on the crank pulley. The best way to tell is to look to see if the rest of the pullies line up with the crank. As far and the tensioner, if you took it off, you are going to have to put it back on before you put the...

Any idea at why my car makes a weird noise at 2k RPM's?

I agree with Jared306. Some more information as to exactly what you are doing when it makes the noise. Does it do it under accelleration, or when you take your foot off of the gas? Some whistling noises could be air intake for cars with modified intakes such as CAI or drop in K&N with out the...

NEW EIBACH SPRINGS IN AND IM STILL ALIVE

The easiest way to do it is to take the nut off the ball joint, tie rod, and the sway bar and lower the control arm down with a jack. The rear is really simple just on bolt the struts and lower the whole rear end down, then the springs will pop right out. I used to work at a front end shop and...

will catted x-pipe void my warranty

Just put it on. Nothing really voids your warrenty. If something happens to your car and you have to take it to the dealership, they have to prove that the modification has caused the problem before they can refuse to fix it under warrenty. Besides its just a mid-pipe, if anything else you can...

    Problems with Underdrives

Has anyone else with a 2k+ car had problems with the water pump pully bein gwrong in their under dreive kit? I ordered mine the other day and it was wrong. I have done some homework it sounds like ford changed the style of waterpumps on these motors in April of 2000, but some of the old style...

    Writing on my engine block

These motors are built in several different plants. I think they are cleveland, windsor and romeo if I'm not mistaken. Writing on the blocks, or other parts for that matter is probably something the manufacturer of that part put on it to label it. I work in a manufacturing plant for brakes...
