    Using the tranny itself you can pump all of the fluid out but, it may be beyond what a lot of people are willing to do. There is an article describing this method at the link I provided above. I don't want to discourage anyone from trying it as it can certainly be done.

    The easiest method to relieve the pressue is to just let the car sit overnight and change the filter in the morning. The pressure will bleed off overnight. This is how I do it and have never had an issue.

    Ford likely went with 18s on the 2000 R for extra brake clearance. The Cobra R runs a much larger 4 piston caliper up front. That is the only logical reason for 18s over 17s.

    Octane Booster

    Boosting your octane helps prevent detonation, that is it. It does not add any horsepower itself. Running a higher octane will allow you to advance your timing or bump up the boost on a power adder for example beyond what you could with a lower octane.
