    I think it is easier to pull the whole thing bellhousing and all. When you put it back together make sure you put the torque converter on and turn to the right at the same time, it will click and slide further on to the shaft 3 times. Make sure you do this or you will have a hell of a time...

    Sounds like a front seal. Do yourself a favor because you have to pull the transmission anyway and slap the t-5 5 speed in it.

    I take my 89 Turbo Mustang down to California (Sacramento, Stockton, Manteca mostly) every year in June, and I smile every time I pass a smog shop with my 3" exhaust with no cat and no emission stuff period. I pass in Washington with this set-up but they don't pop the hood up here..

    There is a Twin Turbo 91 Mustang 5.0 running the stock 8.8 rear with 650 RWHP!! He broke 3 T-5's so he built a C-4 and the rear is still holding up. I have rode in that car a few times down the 1/4 (with camcorder). It's cool to see a 140 speedometer buried..
