I run 3.73's and I think they are a nice gear for all around driving. It does not kill the mileage on the freeway and I can launch at the track quite nicely. My buddy runs 4.10's in his 12.9 second XR and first gear is pretty much useless cause you have to shift instantly off the line. I would...
There are 7.5 T-Locks in a bunch of other cars though, Aerostars, Bronco's, Rangers, T-Bird's, Cougar's. I believe they were an option on some 2.3 Mustang's as well, but I would not bother looking there for one.
I actually broke mine! Here is a pic of some carnage. :D I completly wore out another to the point where the axle's moved a half inch in and out. :nice: I now have a 8.8 disc in there with no more problems. I do race mine though.
My big Chilton's shows 4 small bracket's, inner's and outer's. They are maybe a couple inches tall. If that's them it show's them mounted above the headlight hole's. Hope that help's...
I'm glad Washington does not have a visual test (yet) or that bird's nest of lines would fail for sure (80 Cobra).. I am going to completely strip all of them out and replace just the basic's. I'm sure it would perform much better than it does now. :nice: We only have emission's (smog for you...
I guess my point was not only is alot of fun but it is great for practicing as well. Say if it were your first time at the track and you wanted to learn how to drive and shift and just get the feel of the car you can do so for nearly free. Get the bugs worked out and get it tuned properly then...
My local track holds big NHRA Finals and they have what is called Friday Night Street Racing. It is a police supported event to keep the kids off the main roads and crack down on illegal street racing. It is a 1/4 mile track and they have no tree or times. The flagger usually some 16 year old...
Because they came mostly on the 2.3 cars (Cobra, Pace Car)
Stangguy you can still get them but as stated above they will cost you an arm and a leg. Here is a link to Coker Tire you can still get them their.

Bhuff you are right there is two different sizes of 3g's on the Taurus. I am currently running one and the hardest part of the swap was grinding the bracket the wiring is very easy. The difference is one of them is 7" from mounting hole to mounting hole and the other is 6" you will need the 6"...
"I put pioneer 3 ways in my door and they were making all the speakers pop real bad, i dunno why.."
I bet you are grounding the speaker connections on the metal..
Did you see the one last year that had less than a hundred miles and it sold for $16,000 plus, it was the nicest and newest available. This one is very nice as well..

The bolts should not give you any trouble at all I would not even spray them, they will pop out with a hammer and chisel or screwdriver if you can't get one out, put a 1/2" rachet on the other side and with the air it will be cake. They come out very quickly but obviously it...
