    well, its already a manual rack. What suspension upgrades do I need?? and If I put an air locker in there, would that fix much of it?? I know a bit of the shiftyness is due to the chassis flex, but is it enough to feel it like that??

    WOW!!! That is pretty "trick" What kind of guages are those?? Im guessing the phantom series, but they look great. Luckily, I have a couple of extra Guage clusters, so Ill get a couple of trial runs If I need em. :nice: :spot: Thanx Parthos.

    I had hoped that was true, but thats only for the 4-cyl. The V6 is a totally different setup. (so Ive heard) Also, I cant even find the green wires that should go to the coil. (wiring is trashed) so I think its easier to just go with another setup. And, white face guages are just SOOOOO...

    Hi all. I just got the II out of winter storage this weekend. Jeez she Haulz @$$!!! :eek: But my old 6-cyl tach wont work with the 8, and I need a good tach. So Im wondering about finding a neat lil aftermarket one that will fit in where the ole one is. Anyone done this?? any size...

    Yeah, Ive noticed that!! Even at 85mph in OD, if I push on the gas, it will start to shift to the left. :rolleyes: Kinda scarey some times. so Y is that?? I thought it was the Right rear pushing me to the left, but since I have limited slip, Im not sure bout that theory.

    Second gear problem.... not a real problem!

    This is true about his alignment idea. Mine is off 1.5 inches at the back of the trans. and until I get it aligned, Ill plan on changing the Ujoints every fall. :mad: and absolutely NO ONE here will align it for me :mad: :mad:

    Yeah, that sux. But at least you have water :rolleyes: ........we're on our 8th year of severe drought, and theres NO water left. Its a farming area, and a lot of crops will be in deep **** this year. K, Im done complaining too.

    Sorry Meg, Im not sure that you qualify as "in the west" but if so, theres a couple of nice quick ones out here..... and theyve already spoken. My story: There was a white fastback for sale about 2 blocks from my parents house. It had a 351W in it. I was 16 and i never got to drive it...

    289 Hi Po Manifolds anyone?

    IIRC, the HiPo manifolds drop down straight under the third and 7th cylinders (no??) If so, it puts the exhaust exit straight into the steering joint, and the starter. Thats why they wont work. I havent gotten around to getting headers, but the stock manifolds are by far the easiest...

    nope, and most the Vtechs dont have the torque to get off the line. I raced one in me cougar (stock 4.6) and It was nothin to get ahead. But get the revs up and Lookout!!! (I need a spankin now too (Meagan))

    yeah, thats the way it is with this this motor. Ya wipe the motor off, and watch it run.... pretty soon you see the oil just dripping down the pan, and onto the grownd.
