    my buddy has a 01 mustang with a v6 in it and MT. his idle wants to drop when the a/c is turned on. i don't know much about late models, but is there an a/c idle compensation circuit or something? or would something else cause this? how to fix it?

    why not primer/sealer it instead of just primer? i know dupont makes some really good paints that are made to look like primers

    Starter Solenoid

    sounds like you fried your solenoid. i was always taught never engage a starter for longer than about 8 seconds without a break. a lot of power flows through there when you are engaging your starter.

    did you check your fuses with a voltmeter? put it on the diode setting and check. just because they look fine doesn't mean they aren't blown

    you also have to take into account things like weatherstripping, the door bumpers, and the latch. all play a HUGE roll in the alignment, not just the hinges.

    it's really easy to install a power brake booster. it pretty much just bolts on to the firewall with 4 or 5 bolts, then you bolt the MC up to it with 2. it's an easy and effective swap. some kits even come with new pedals and pushrods, etc.

    figured it out! it was a fluke .. i checked again and it sparked fine but part of the problem was it wasn't getting fuel. the hose clamp between the tank line and the fuel pump was loose . . so it was just sucking air, not fuel, to prime itself.
