    You need to do a leakdown test to find out for sure. It could be a few different things, and those aren't good enough pics of the plug to really tell anything. Kinda hard to tell if that's just from running pig rich, wrong plug heat range, or actual mechanical issue.

    When you say you broke the dog rings, do you mean the synchro rings? Those are a matched set, did you put the new ones on as they came or could they have gotten out of orientation on you? Or maybe you got the OD synchro on in reverse orientation?

    yep thats the torsion spring setup, your arrow is pointing at that "bolt" visible from the outside that the older style tension spring unit doesn't have.
