    New notch owner/member

I bought that ashtray door repair kit like, uh... five years ago, I almost forgot I had it until this thread. Dont worry, I still have saggy map pockets, busted chime, and crappy power windows, like all other foxes. :rlaugh:

    Over Charging....

I had the same thing happen to me when I first got my stang... anyway it was the alternator. Take it out and have it tested at a parts store, I'll bet the regulator is bad.

Nice notch! I forget these cars have broken ashtray doors, since I fixed mine so long ago.

Will T bird springs work in a Fox?

I would have to say no, the MN12 chassis is a totally different set up.

What part of your car do you hate working on the most?

Anything that has ATF in it I cant stand the smell :barf: I recently did a rack swap and it was insanely difficult... a seemingly two hour job turned into two days. :bang: Drum brakes... do I have to explain. Plugs on a 5.0 are easy... go change the firewall side plugs on a FWD V6 then...

    Rust on shock towers

I have the same problem, I entertained the idea of finding a donor strut towers or another front clip; but that idea was a bust. Every fox in the junkyard was there because of horribly rotten strut towers, the rest of the body on those cars was un-wrecked and fine. I'm thinking of doing a 4 cyl...

    Anti-theft - Kill switch...

I've never been able to pull out that relay without having a wrestling match. I just spliced a switch inbetween the red wire on the relay under the seat... find a hiding spot for the switch and you're good.

do you wave at other fox owners?

I've only been acknowledged by a Mustang owner like four times in the past five years, 97% of the time they're on the damn phone and they dont even see me... so I gave up. I get tons more looks and waves from non-Mustang drivers, even by pedestrians, bicycle riders, and lifted-up heavy duty...

    Ideas for GT Hatchback

I'm just using my circa 2004 Pioneer CD player and Pioneer 6.5 and 6x8 with Blaukunpt 3.5's in the dash... all I need. The stock AM/FM and cardboard speakers made me want to blow my brains out. The stock cardboard speakers disintegrated when I took them out.

Sources Say Coyote is a Go

Yeah it would be hard to believe that all the new GTs that you'll see on the road will have 400hp, and 4V at that. If they do Ford will have to make a 5V engine, like the Ferrari 355 had, for the special models... lol

Sources Say Coyote is a Go

Is it really going to be NA? I didnt see anything saying that in the article. It would be cool to see a Ford motor making 400 hp NA. Dont get me wrong the superchargers are cool, but I always admired engines that run under their own motivation. Either way the GT is going to need more hp in stock...

    Turn signal problems.

Oh come on, :) it only takes me less than ten min to tear into that... maybe even five. At one point I was in there every week for something, wiring projects or something else...so I guess I got good at taking it apart. Just as long as the bulbs are still clear in the inside, (and not black and...

    Check out this gem (pic)

I've seen Fruit Loops and the Pillsbury Doughboy theme cars here. I hate those fender "vents"... every time I see a car that comes with them OEM it looks tacky to me now. If I invented those things, I'd be laughing all the way to the bank.

I always wanted a 93 Cobra untill I found this.

 I saw that one coming a mile away.

    firewall broke out around cable

I think someone makes a reinforcement plate with a FWA on it, but a thick steel plate around the firewall should fix it; even rivets should be ok to hold it on. Take the upper intake off and that should give you some room to work with. I heard of the firewall cracking and flexing... but did...

    DIY: Solid Steering Shaft? Interesting......

I thought about that too, why hasn't anyone made a solid replacement for mustang rag joints? The aluminum looks like a good idea... but a hockey puck? I don't think it was designed for high temps; like under the hood of a car or steering control for that matter.

    Cam question HELP

The TFS1 cam and spring kit is what I have on my DD, the TFS1 cam is a good match for GT40(P) heads. Since you have 1.7 rockers you might want to check your PTV clearance.

    32v in a fox

Turned the tables I see... I wondered if anyone would notice. :rlaugh: Hmm, that's very interesting... no wonder so many people do this swap, I always thought you had to have all Cobra stuff.

    32v in a fox

Wont he need a 96-98 Cobra ecu and harness? I try to stay a little informed on mod motors, but I dont know a lot about the ecu and tuning stuff. I see these motors all over the junkyards, I feel bad when I see one of those engines rotting away. I'm trying to convince my buddy to get a...
