    Hydraulic Clutch Issues

I connected the vacuum pump reservoir container to the slave cylinder bleed screw and then to connected the pump to the reservoir. Be sure to have someone up top filling the master cylinder reservoir because it will empty very fast. Do not let the vacuum pump container get more than 1/2 full or...

    Hydraulic Clutch Issues

That is close to what I have. You need more preload on the clutch. I adjusted it until I could get it into 1st gear with out any grinding. I used this from Harbor freight to bleed my system and it did it the first time. http://www.harborfreight.com/brake-bleeder-and-vacuum-pump-kit-92474.html

    T5

I would recommend going with a hydraulic clutch. Mine was about 220 in parts and I dont have to worry about burning a cable. Parts list and info on my build site: http://chris66dad.tripod.com/id32.html Info on T5 swap: http://chris66dad.tripod.com/id38.html http://chris66dad.tripod.com/id33.html...

    28oz Flywheel for T5 swap

The 28 oz imbalance, 157 tooth flywheel is the same for a 289, 302 and 351. The clutch you bought was probably a 10.5 diapraghm type and it will not mount up to a stock 280z flywheel because it mounts a 10 inch clutch. You will need a 28 oz, 157 tooth that will mount a 10.5 (if that is what...

    Differential lube.

Do not use synthetic oil with a torque sensing differential. Use gear lube in it and be sure to add 4 oz of friction modifier to the lube

    5spd or auto?

It is a personal choice above everything else. I am very happy I went with a T5. With a built 408 you will want to look at a T5z, G Force or Astro T5. The basic Astro A-5 is rated at 485 ft/lbs of torque and 550 hp. The upgraded A-5 is rated at 575 ft/lbs and 650 hp...

    Seam sealer and Rust Encap?

I am a huge fan of SPI epoxy. 1/2 the price of the "Big Boys" products and just as good if not better. If there is not a "jobber" close to you to buy it from, SPI will ship it to your door for FREE. It can also be applied with a brush if you can not spray it. Google it for more...

    Seam sealer and Rust Encap?

I treated the metal inside my cowl with Rust Encapsulater and then seam sealer on top of that for further protection of the joints. I then went over that with 2k epoxy. If I was doing it again, I would use epoxy and then seam sealer on top of the epoxy

    Aftermarket brake upgrade overview article

I have drums in back still. I dont drive the car hard enough to ever have the rears fade and most of the braking comes from the front anyway. It stopped really well with the CSRP Granada set up but there is much more stopping power with the SN95 set up. It has a different feel now, like a...

    Home grown paint booth/car progress

I used box fans pushing air into the booth. When you put a filter on a fan, the differential pressure is the same whether you are pushing air in (filtering particles) or sucking air out (capturing overspray). Benefit with pushing air in is the is no vapors going through the fan. Another benefit...
