Check engine light, stang runs like crap......

Thanks for all this help so far, it's greatly appreciated. I tried tracing back the wires as good as I could, but between the ICM and the coil pack, most of the wires are routed inside the engine body behind sheet metal. I checked all the areas were the wire wen't around a sharp corner, and I...

    Firing orders.....

I was looking in my chiltons manual, and I found it odd how the firing orders are for my 95 Mustang. It is also the same way on Autozone's website: http://www.autozone.com/images/cds/gif/medium/0900823d801da94c.gif I thought on the coil, the top three wires were right, but I thought the...

Check engine light, stang runs like crap......

Ok, now this is really wierd. I took the ICM up to Autozone to get it checked and it checked out fine. I put it back it, and the car starts, but the rpms keep going up and down like crazy and it stalls out unless I give it some gas! The #18 fuse doesn't blow anymore either....odd......

Check engine light, stang runs like crap......

Oh Yeah, and for an update, I pulled up my OBDII code on OBDII.com, and they gave me a different message from what displayed on the OBDII tester I used. The code P1353 on the website says, "Ignition Coil B Primary Circuit" and when I used the scan tool on my car, the display read, "Manufacturer...

Check engine light, stang runs like crap......

Where is the ICM located at anyway? I tried looking for it, and couldn't find it. [edit] Nevermind, I found it, it was under the mass air meter. I just need to find out how to test it now. I would just go buy the part and replace it, but the Murrays says the part is $299...

Check engine light, stang runs like crap......

Thanks a bunch. If you want. You can always email them to me at my gmail account. 2 gigs of storage, I'm sure I'll have enough space for the photos. I just don't know what email you use. Some don't allow you to send big attachments. I think the limit for gmail attachments is 100mb. I...

95' V6 ignition coils....Replace twice in one year?

Do you know if it's normal to have this fuse blow from a misfire?

Check engine light, stang runs like crap......

Thank you very much for replying MustangLX-5.0. I was thinking that it may have something to do with the ICM as well. I only guessed that and it's not an educated guess really at all because I really don't have any knowledge about ICM's. I tried disconnecting the radio interference...

Check engine light, stang runs like crap......

I am attaching a scanned file from my Chiltons manual for the ignition coil wiring. I have high-lighted the wires comming off of the coil. The one in red is going to fuse #18 in the fuse panel inside the vehicle. The wires in yellow are comming off the coil going to the ICM (ignition control...

I don't know about that, I'm just posting what I did before to fix the problem. Hope my advice is at least partially helpful.

Check engine light, stang runs like crap......

Exactly, I have no clue why the fuse keeps blowing. The car will not start with this fuse blown though. So I really need to find a way to fix this.

Check engine light, stang runs like crap......

Same Problem again......sucks...... I got a new ignition coil in, and new plugs, and still having the same problem. And fuse 18 still keeps blowing. Fuse 18 says it's for CCRM power, ignition coil, charging system warning lamp, and regulator signal. Well, at least that's what the chiltons...

95' V6 ignition coils....Replace twice in one year?

In the Chiltons manual, fuse 18 says it's for CCRM power(dunno what that is), ignition coil, Charging system Warning Lamp, and Regulator Signal. I've used the OBDII tester and it says that I've got a misfire. I can't tell where the misfire is comming from.

95' V6 ignition coils....Replace twice in one year?

Ok, I'm having the same issue again. So this is the 3rd time that I've had to replace the ignition coil. I just got the car May 2004. When I first got the car, I replaced the plugs. Since then, I've replaced the ignition coil 3 times(this time makes 3). I thought it might have been caused...

    Hanging RPM's

That happened on my 95. I'm guessing you may need a new clutch soon. I replaced my clutch/flywheel, and the problem was fixed.
