The old CAT and O2 sensor problem

On the website they are collectively called "off road h-pipes" some with h-pipes and some with x-pipes. The one I got was listed as an "off road h-pipe with an x-pipe crossover section". Lol

The old CAT and O2 sensor problem

Ok I concede. I decided to skip the shop, I didn't really trust em anyways...I got a BBK x-pipe off road h-pipe on order from LRS. Thanks all!

The old CAT and O2 sensor problem

Right, but then how much to cut out the existing pipe and cats and install the new cat less piping? I have to think of TOTAL cost, not just parts.

The old CAT and O2 sensor problem

Yeah I am hoping it will make a big difference. A shop told me it would be about $200 to take the cats out and put a pipe in on each side. I am thinking about having this shop do it. But, I was wondering if those "flexible exhaust piping" things at autozone are any good? I could just cut the...

The old CAT and O2 sensor problem

Hey all, just a quick question/clarification here: ok so I put the flowmaster super 44s on my 91 coupe, and it doesn't sound much different. I wanted it loud! My technician says its because my car has 4 (!) cats. Now, if I take all four cats OFF and just run pipe where they were, will it trip...

    500+hp 88 LX Hatch, $17k invested, $8500 NJ

Dude, don't sell that car. Take the wheels off and the battery out, drain the fluids and store it. Hell, park it in your garage and cover it and forget about it. 10-20 years from now, you will be glad you did. Take it from someone who gets rid of (and ALWAYS regrets) fox body stangs all the...

Cheap way to lower a notchback?

Well thanks for all the advise, time to call LRS and place an order: Kyb gas-a-just shock and strut kit, pinion snubber, fr and rear isolaters (maybe use, maybe not) set of lowering springs. Later on, if needed, MaxImum Motorsports CC's, strut tower brace, and subframes. I will post pics when...

Cheap way to lower a notchback?

. I live in the "rust belt" but my car sits all winter (as all rust belt mustangs should) so I don't think rust is an issue. I think I'll end up getting the isolaters because I'm getting the SVE springs. I'll see how it feels without, and if needed, install them.

Cheap way to lower a notchback?

Meant to say strut tower not shock tower. Do I need shorter struts and shocks? So just a set of springs should do the trick? I was thinking I'd need the CCs because it looks like my front wheels are toed in just slightly now, and I thought lowering springs would exacerbate that issue? LMRS...

Cheap way to lower a notchback?

Hey it's always good to revisit a new way to do old tricks, right? I know there are lots of new products that have been introduced since the last thread on this subject, so: I want to drop my notch about 2". I figure I will need lowering springs, caster/camber plates, and a shock tower brace...

    1988 mustang gt

Wow apparently only cars that are $1500 or less actually sell. What a disappointment this site is when it comes to people getting what their cars are really worth.

    500+hp 88 LX Hatch, $17k invested, $8500 NJ

Nice car I hope it sells, since I have one that is also for sale. But, unfortunately this site is not good for selling or trading cars. Its more for people to just talk. No serious people on here. I've had mine for sale for a while now and got no responses. You are better off just keeping it...
