help decide what direction my car should go in

We always want what we don't have. It seems like we only appreciate what we have for a while and then it fades somewhere and then we need some other reason to be happy about our rides or anything really. Your mustang is so clean in comparison to many i have seen yet to you, you mainly recognize...

Oil Pan to Timing Cover Bolts

Shouldnt need to. Tighten the lowest 2 bolts on the cover to 20-25 ft lbs. It sounds like the wholes are lining up good so its unlikely you can go wrong with using just a tiny bit of help getting them started. The 2 outside on the pan should be 1/4 inch and the inside ones closest to the crank...

HELP 92 GT DYING WHILE DRIVING

Next time it does this to you check for spark when it isn't starting. At least this will reveal if the problem lies in the fuel or spark catagory. It sounds like your fuel pump may be on its way out the door. If your have spark i would drive it around with a fuel pressure guage hanging out where...

93 HCI GT has a part throttle miss and high water temp - Please help!

Make sure your radiator is topped off if you haven't already. Its very rare for a car to get hot on the highway, because it has almost and infinate supply of cool air. Either your low on fluid or your pump aint doing its thing anymore but if that was the case you would see it get hot in the city...

Oil Pan to Timing Cover Bolts

Both covers have the same dia threads. I think what is happening is the gasket's thickness on the timing cover is holding it out too far to start the 4 on the pan. What i do is put the 2 lowest bolts on the cover on and tighten them up nice, then start the 4 on the pan with a short socket and...

help decide what to do with my motor this summer

I bet all of your oil leak is in the pan gasket if you can see it sqeezing out in places. There is a way to distinguish between a rear main leak and an oil pan leaking at the rear but from the tiny bit of experience i have had, the oil pan is usually to blame. Felpro makes an awsome one piece...

    fuel pump is not priming!

Grab the battery out of the the car or use another good battery close to 12v and put the positive on the pink black and the ground the adjacent black wire on that 4 pin going into the tank. If nothing happens the pump is lame.

Make the one from the pickup look like the other one with a grinder. If they are the same diameter and the stop is the same distance from the end, it should go.

Will the EEC IV work without the 02 Senors?

I wonder, If its painless, why is this sort of thing going on. Make sure your ecu is trump tight and its grounded where its supposed to be. I don't know of a fuel injection system that doesn't run perfectly well with the oxygen sensor unplugged, at least to a humans level of a detection.

    EFI Fuel hose

Negetive they don't change that out to be legal at the track. This type of flex line is vinyl and it is not considered under the 12inch rule in nhra for probably multiple reasons one of them being its psi rating is extreme when compared to efi flex line from goodyear. This type of line is used...

    Weird electrical

The harness is the same so it will physically go right on. I would go with my gut feeling on that one. I honestly didnt know their was a difference and I have put an auto alternator on a stick shift ride and everything was good.

    Can anyone name this wheel?

Dont know who made those fenders but they look a certain way. Sounds like you dont like the look though, i kinda feel the same. Ok so they are Centerlines. Guess i need to get online and find some centercaps somehow and try to get this wheel fixed. They are pretty light and look nice i think...

WOT bogs down, running very rich... any help?

I would take the hood off, put a fuel gauge in the test port and zip tie it up so i could see it work while i was driving. Then get back out to the highway and see what fuel pressure is doing on wide open. The noteable change you mentioned when you hit the key on key off and the music comming...

    Alternator Question

It will be like running a car with a dead alternator. It wont do anything you don't like. I don't think it will throw sparks out like an electrical storm if that's what your asking. It will just look different and could possibly start a new trend in automotive. It sounds like more work than just...

    EFI Fuel hose

What happened to your bone stock 5/16 hard line? The main problem is the cost of that much EFI flexible fuel line its like 4-5 dollars a foot. The next problem is that if you want to go to the drag strip and test out your hot 5.0 early mustang, you need to have less than 12 inches of flexible...

    Weird electrical

That HEI coil hates being at anything under 12Volts, I can contest to that from the little bit of accidental experience I have in that area. Low voltage will give you high rpm ignition issues before any other issues reveal themselves. My dad terms this 'blowing out the spark' and litterally...

disregard my post, i didnt catch that you don't have power at the inertia switch. Let me think on this a bit before I make another wack suggestion.
