    maf

I have read about the problems with using an aftermarket maf and it leads me to wonder. Do the 19# mafs have a similar function and curve to the stock maf?

Is hatch rattle really this bad?

I'll just add to the possible noises from the rear. The lower brackets hanging from the rear bumper(GT rear bumper cover attaches to this) are riveted on. In my case they came loose and rattled. I removed the rivets and used small bolts to replace them.

    painting interior problems

Its possible the new paint you used was not compatable with the old paint. That caused the paint to become crazed. Sand the panels down if you can, if you can't because of texture use a scotchbrite pad and try to remove the high spots. Use a primer/sealer autozone usually offers it from...

proper way to store a mustang?

I don't use mine as a daily driver so I have to time to throw the dead hookers off the bridge immediately. It saves alot of room in the hatch. On the other hand if they are fresh enough leave em up front so you can use the carpool lane.

    Anyone installed a Remote start??

The T-5 has a neutral safety switch on it that you could use. This is different from the clutch switch. I'm not sure of how exactly but you could look into that. I'm following this thread because I want remote start too, but I did the t-5 swap before the alarm.

    GT-500 = Boat

The 93-95 Lightnings used the 4x2 plow frame which is thicker gauge then the standard 4x2 frame. However still a common production piece.

    Just installed mgw shifter: problem

I have the mgw on a T-5z. I don't know how you set the stops, but the directions are to put it in each gear; tighten the stop until it reaches the shift lever; then back it off one full turn. I haven't looked at the directions in weeks so check the manual on that one. If they are too close it...

    Any sirius subscribers?

I have 4 sirius radios all starmate replays. One for me, the girlfriend, and bought two for my mom and dad. Its like $35 a month but its worth it. I don't have pictures but I have it sit on my center console in my work van using a home kit stand, and when I use it in the Mustang I hard wired...

    stock '88GT exhaust question

I use a deep socket, a couple long extensions and a 3/8" U-joint swivel adapter. Those studs like to snap so be carefull. If that still doesn't work you can run a bead of copper rtv around the collector flange.

What paint to use for engine compartment?

Black is much easier then another color, even if you used a satin finish out of a spray can it still matches the car. I used single stage dupont centari shot from a siphon feed gun.

    Cost of a T5 swap...

I also has a parts car that I paid for half with a friend. I took the 5 speed swap stuff. Its really helpfull to have a full car assembled while doing this if you haven't done it before. Installation is reverse of removal.

    Painting pony wheels

I went to the local paint store and got a half pint of argent silver Dupont Chromabase. I already had a pint of clear, and I used spray cans of primer so total costs were around $60.

TKO swap in progress... Steering Column?

What bolt under the hood? There are 4 bolts that hold the column up, 2 closer to the firewall, and 2 closer to the edge of the dash. After those are out the column should have alot of freeplay. If it doesn't move around like a joystick would you need to make sure its completely unbolted...

Fox AOD T5, Same Exhaust System?

If the exhaust is stock then its the same. The only difference is the hanger mount is different between the T5 and AOD, though it fits the same pipes. Some longtube headers and mid pipes are different for manual cars.

    wheel ideas

I like Mach 1 wheels but they are heavy (26 lbs). Bullet wheels look good too and are lighter, but you can't go wrong with pony's.
