    The $20K V8 thread

This is taken direct from the NAIAS website. "Mustang will be available with a choice of two engines. The base will feature a 200-horsepower V6 while the GT sports a V8 producing 300 horsepower. Both models will start at less than $20,000." SVT: Interpret that one in two parts. I'm not...

    Interior Light

Excellent. :D Yeah, I'll never forget the night it happened to me. I was going insane opening and slamming doors trying to get the light to shut off. I kept triple checking the knob, making sure everything was turned off and closed, and even the automatic 15 min. battery-saver thing...

    The $20K V8 thread

:rlaugh: Omega, I had this same thread all written up and was ready to post, but I decided one last check to ensure someone hadn't done it. Yes, this deserves its own thread. I think it must be a terrible mistake for Ford, as it's already going into print. If there was a 200HP model and...

NAIAS show picture and review thread

Wow...if that was a mistake, it was a BIG mistake. I'm already seeing that both the 200HP V6 and 300HP GT models will be starting less than $20k in print/text. Does anybody have more information on this?

    Interior Light

I had the exact same problem a couple years ago on my 99' GT. I disconnected the battery, and when I reconnected it the next day, I no longer had that problem. Something must have reset, as I've never had that happen since.

NAIAS show picture and review thread

I was thinking the exact same thing....was the 300HP for under $20k a mistake? If that's true, owning a GT would become so mainstream and not feel special anymore.

    2005 Headlight and Taillight Technology

LED tail lights are nice, but I saw a Cadillac the other day with several of the LED's not functioning, and all I kept thinking about was a ferris wheel that hasn't been kept up. :D

Can I add traction control to my 99 GT?

 I knew this would be the general response when asking about traction control. But seriously, I thought you could turn it off/on with a simple switch, so why would it be a problem at all? My car is getting buried in snow as I type. :nonono: Ok, well I guess this settles it. I'll...

Can I add traction control to my 99 GT?

Alright, so it's finally winter, and my car isn't happy. Fortunately, there hasn't been any snowy weather yet, but it will soon be here. All I have to drive is my 99' GT, and the only option it doesn't have is all-speed traction control. While my city usually gets the streets cleared very...

    Chassis stiffening questions...

Thanks to everyone for your help. I think I'm going to go with the MM full lengths. I was reading reviews of subs in general and found a few possible problems. I believe it was the Steeda version where people were complaining of reduced ground clearance, and they were hitting on speed...

Dfrost, yes....great comparison. Agreed about the GTO. IT looks like.....every other Pontiac car sold today.

Again, that quote is taken out of context. This whole thread has been about cosmetics of the car, and that's what I was talking about. When I said "By Mustang from the future, I wasn't literally speaking of styling cues" I meant that this Mustang wasn't supposed to look futuristic, it was...

By Mustang from the future, I wasn't speaking literally of styling cues. I meant this is the famed first complete redesign in 25 years, and it kind of looks like a variation of the current model. Or in other words, the design doesn't take a great leap forward like the concept did.

SVT: You've been misunderstanding what I've been saying. No one said the concept would be identical to the production styling, and I imagine anyone familiar with cars wouldn't think this. I stated earlier that the concept had to be adapted for the real world. But, in that article above, it...

Thinking the styling would be very similar is not unrealistic and definitely not on the same level as thinking the engine would be 400HP. A 400HP engine would put this in a different price class. The plastic and metal of the body could have been molded/stamped to produce the concept with...

SVT: I like concepts too, but I just don't know if creating a concept for a legend like Mustang was such a great idea. The 2005 GT concept drew so much attention at the NAIAS, and so many uninformed people saw it on the news and etc. As a result, I had people telling me, "yeah that new 2005 GT...

Yeah, I didn't remember a 99' concept either. Maybe they should have used that approach this time too to avoid the critiquing by everyone. SN95: Yeah, a couple of my friends said that it kind of looked like the current car with a different front. But, I guess the new models of cars we're...

Do you know where I could see the 99' concept?

I was definitely expecting changes, as certain things weren't practical like the hidden door handles of the concept. But, I just don't get the drastic cosmetic change of the front. Usually, changes made from the concept are making it practical as well as listening to opinions I thought. And I...

Yeah, I think the main issue is the front, which would totally change my opinion. In this pic im looking at: http://www.allfordmustangs.com/forums/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=2460&password=&sort=7&thecat=558 the headlights, grille, hood and everything just flow together. I like how...
