    Opinions needed.

Hit or miss, some people like the sound of dumps some dont. I love the sound of mine! No drone just badass. I tried running without tailpipes when my car was basically stock and I had to wear earplugs it was so bad. But now I love it (after all the mods). So, it really depends on your particular...

Too many of these responses are buloney, wrong, or due to an inablility to correctly recall details as reported by the thread starter. Please, get your facts straight. Many uninformed people read these threads and are unable to sort through all the B/S flying around.

    What's another $1700??

That sounds a little fishy to me... sometimes a story too good to be true, is.

Why should that not surprise you? People still walk around talking about the Bible as if it were truth, in the literal sense. Methinks this country needs a heavier dose of science injected in the population's consciousness... the Discovery Channel isn't enough.

    Please recommend parts

When buying roller rockers, as with other engine parts, its about quality, not price. If you cant afford to buy the good stuff then save your money until you can. I bought a set of Proform RR's off Ebay many years ago, turns out they were complete dog**** parts. Cheap = :notnice:

I got all that too, makes a subtle difference in HP, the weight reduction is a bigger factor than HP increase for those mods. Removing the A/C makes it 50 times easier to work on the engine in my opinion.

Try this: 1 5/8" long tube headers, mass-air conversion, Explorer junkyard intake manifold or a Typhoon, and some new valvesprings. If you do get roller rockers, get stud mounted ones and some hardened pushrods. Pedestal mount RR's are ca-ca and cannot be transfered to a new set of heads, should...

BEWARE: Pics of cheap bushings Granatelli

Another option is to reuse your factory lower arms. I burned out the rubber bushings and put Energy Suspension ones in them. Worked great for the last 18 months. The best thing is they bolt right in:D

BEWARE: Pics of cheap bushings Granatelli

Yes its good. Long though, I'll have to read the rest later. Very similar to a problem I had with 2 BBK clutch cables a while back. They work great for about a week and thats it. So I bought a OEM one from Maximum, works like a dream. Now I only buy the good stuff, paying extra is easier than...

By far the lamest part of the 5.0 HO is the heads and intake. You enter, literally, a whole 'nother universe of horsepower when you trash them for the good stuff.

If you get 1.7RR's you have to get new, upgraded valvesprings. Old stock ones will float like crazy even with factory rockers.

    head bolt sealer ques.

I recently had to replace a head gasket. When I pulled the lower head bolts out there were small amounts of vapor condensation on the bolts. Which I'm pretty sure came from me being a lazy ass and using Ultra Black on the threads instead of actual thread sealer (when I did my head swap some time...

What precautionary measures to run 10.8 C.R. on street, if any?

The Engine Masters magazine has a lot of info on that subject. They probly have old articles on their website.

    5.0 Twin Turbo Kit

I'll second that. I have a Typhoon manifold that I recently swapped out for a Victor EFI. The Typhoon was cast/machined pretty sloppilly compared to a real E-brock piece. Made in USA is definitely worth the extra $$$.
